Detailed Process description

FX - Confirmations/Settlements- Trades that are input by the Front Office and appear on the Bank queue within the mainframe system (GBS) & J- Cash are to be confirmed prior to settlement within currency deadlines. Verification of correctness of trades are done via telephone, Reuter- s/Voice Broker confirmations and customer swift confirmations. Team interacts with Trade Support groups, Position Control, investigations, GTS, NDF group and external customers to resolve discrepancies and to confirm trades.

All unconfirmed trades on trade date +1 (t+1)are required either to have deal sources to support or phone confirm with counterpart to make sure good trade in both side.

CLS Confirmations: CLS trade confirmations are received into pay+ applications . Team identifies discrepancies and interacts with the C/P and TS to get it resolved and match in CLS. 17 CLS currencies are involved in the trading.

With each trade running into billions of dollars, the goals of the team - to retain high levels of accuracy and reducing the risk of discrepancies.

Detailed Role description

Interbank Processing team deals with confirmation and settlements of FX trades. Due to high volatile nature of business, this requires close watch on process 24x5.

Below are key responsibilities-

- Close watch on process from confirmation & Settlements standpoint.

- Escalating Real time to higher management to resolve an issue

- Providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) Support to the team mates

- People Management (team of around 10-15 associates)

- Conducting Monthly one-o-one with associates

- Semi Annual and Annual performance appraisal of associates

- Ensure that the process transactions are processed as per procedures

- Ensure that the targets are assigned in accordance with the SLAs are met

- Ensure that the quality of the transactions is in compliance with predefined parameters

- Identifying & Making process improvements

- Provide the relevant process reports on a on a daily basis

- Creating process dashboard and MIS reports

- Ensure adherence to governing procedures of the process

- Ensure adherence to established internal and external Risk procedures

- Provide process training to team members to improve their performance levels

Associate Profile

Desired Educational Qualification- Any Graduate

Desired Experience- 6 to 8 years of work experience in FX Products. Minimum 1-2 years experience in people management.

Candidate requirements ( Must have & Desired) -

- Must Have- Good understanding of Investment Banking and FX products in particular.

- Must Have- Minimum one to two year team handling experience

- Good to Have- Experience of FX pre/post settlement process

- Flexibility with Shift Timings - Process works in 24 X 5 environment
