AM/Manager - Fraud Analytics - BFSI

Role Summary/Purpose

The fraud analyst's role involves identification of fraudulent transaction patterns occurring across geographical regions. This position includes assisting the team in of day-to-day fraud identification analysis, identify issues by analyzing volumes of transaction and related quantitative data. The ownership lies in maintenance of fraud repository, collect both quantitative and qualitative data,design and perform data analysis and develop recommendation.

Essential Responsibilities

- Assist in Development and maintenance of fraud prevention and detection system rules

- Assist in the functioning of fraud tools and practices that will monitor, detect, and respond to suspicious activity and reduce stakeholder risk

- Implement and drive customer segmentation in fraud loss and enhanced customer experience.

- Improvise and modify existing procedures and tools to fit new, non-standard situations.

- Formulate and validate hypotheses that support strategic plans and to generate reports / track results of specific tactics.

- Synergise with Risk, Finance and Collections leadership to build Project CBAs and drive operational delivery to committed business goals.

Qualifications/Requirements Understanding of analytics.

Expert in SAS/ SQL and advanced Excel

Energizing, Positive, Self starter & Proactive

Good communication skills with clarity of thought

Desired Characteristics Preferably Post Graduate in Statistics/Economics or MBA

Experience in Consumer Finance frauds

Additional requirement

a. Good knowledge of Fraud Transaction Analytics

b. Good knowledge of Transaction Monitoring Tools or Application fraud detection tools
