I am currently hiring for Assistant Manager and Manager role into External reporting for Gurgaon and Chennai location

JOB DESCRIPTION

Customers / Stakeholders

- The individual must be able to work with all the in-country finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of results on a timely basis. This includes the country Head of Reporting as well as members of their teams.

1. The individual must be able to work with other teams within the GFC to ensure that there is a joined-up view presented to the in-country teams. This includes working with the PE close, MI, System teams.

2. Typical Targets and Measures

- Accurate and timely reporting of financial data- no operational errors

- Clear understanding around the key drivers in the number.

- To be the team of choice for external reporting requirements

- Accurate and timely reporting to in-country teams.

- Understanding and anticipating the needs of the business partner correctly.

- The individual must be proactive rather than reactive.

- Stakeholder feedback and engagement scores

Operational Effectiveness & Control

- Ensure accuracy and data integrity in the end-to-end financial reporting process by ensuring compliance with the internal control requirements and assessing the adequacy in the changing environment.

- Continually work on improving the level of automation by working closely within and across teams to identify solutions to improve the timeliness and accuracy of the reporting and minimize manual intervention.

- Continually asses the operational risk inherent in the process, taking account of changing operational procedures, staff movements, legal and regulatory requirements.

1. Ensuring BCPs are properly documented, agreed with business partners and tested as per the agreed timeliness.

Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder's abilities)

- The job holder will require detailed knowledge of the group financial requirements under IFRS and ensure that monthly and quarterly reporting requirements are met on a timely and accurate basis. This is against a backdrop of an increasingly changing economic and regulatory environment.

- The jobholder will have to manage a large team of professionals looking after different business partners each of whom will have their own expectation.

- The jobholder will need to manage a large team and all the people related issues that come with that.

- The jobholder will need to be a driver of change and process improvement.

- This is a specialist role and requires the jobholder possesses a thorough understanding of Group Financial reporting as well as internal systems.

- The jobholder will need to work independently with minimum supervision in ensuring that all the reporting requirements are completed within the required timeliness for the various teams.

1. The jobholder will have to deal with the increasing and often changing reporting and regulatory requirements and ensure that the teams are up to date.

Service Delivery

- Responsible for performing and reviewing reporting activities including finalizing PL & BS on monthly basis, processing JV, reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, primary and secondary financial schedules

- Co-ordination with business area and across business partners - strong inter personal skills

- Strong Analytical Skills

- Good Understanding of IFRS including conversion of Local GAAP to IFRS

- Strong systems knowledge like HFM, Oracle etc.

- Responsible for analysis, summarization and presentation of the financial and operational metrics of a business with the objective of enabling business decisions, financial statement analysis, profitability analysis, regulatory and external disclosures.

- Understanding of consolidation of financial and regulatory reporting as per IFRS.

1. Professionals are also required to provide analysis around compliance to various GAAP pronouncements, analysis of external disclosures in the Annual Report and various regulatory filings.

Skills/Experience Required

- CA/ICWAI/MBA with minimum of 2-10+ years of post-qualification experience in a similar role/ background

- B. Com / M. Com / CA Inter / ICWA Inter with minimum 2-10 years of experience will be considered

- Prior experience in GRCA reporting and Analytical Reviews will be preferred.

- Strong knowledge of External reporting at financial institutions

- Strong project management and change background

- Experience to Drive Global Projects

- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management

- Must have managed medium to large teams of qualified professional with a track record of demonstrable and definable achievements

- Excellent organizational skills

- Understanding of process migration, metrics and productivity of finance processes

- Timing will be between 3:30 PM to 12.00 midnight except for few days in a month/Quarter which requires late sitting
