Finance Associate  Alpha Alternatives is an alternatives investing platform started by a group of individuals with a very successful track record in the financial services industry. The platform seeks to invest in various alternative spaces like long short equities, credit, commodities, real estate, etc. It seeks to generate alpha for its proprietary and managed capital by finding differentiated structured opportunities which provide superior risk-return characteristics.  Alpha Alternatives is looking to hire a smart and high achieving individual with an ambition for steep learning and growth for its Finance & Operations team.  The candidate will be a qualified CA with less than 4-5 years of work experience post qualification. A CA with CS qualification will be preferred. A definite requirement for the candidate is to have an entrepreneurial bent of mind, ability to multi-task and work seamlessly in an unstructured environment.  Key responsibilities for the role are as follows:  - Drive business planning and budgeting for all the group entities. Assist the Senior Partners / CEOs in the monthly/quarterly/annual budgets. Perform Variance analysis for all the budgets.  - Create MIS templates for different operating businesses and regular updation of group-level MIS for the review of CEOs / Senior Partners.  - Create SOP manuals for businesses. Lead the entire back-end operations for group entities  - Monitor cash flows for effective working capital management and ensuring optimal utilization of funds. Liaison with banks for routine banking operations  - Accounts finalization. Ensure accurate closing of books of accounts for group entities and consolidation of the accounts.  - Lead Audit support team for statutory / tax / internal audits for all group entities.   - Computation of income tax and ensuring timely filling of IT returns. Handling queries from Income Tax department and assisting IT Consultants in case of Scrutiny / Search cases  - Co-ordinate Legal and Secretarial matters (Board meeting Agenda / Minutes finalization)  - Ensure all the relevant regulatory compliances  - Ensuring adherence to internal controls & processes.
