Title : Major Account Executive - Web Hunter  Location : Mumbai  About the Job :  - The Major Account Executive will be responsible for the strategic objective of maximizing revenue generation for large and strategic Key Accounts in the Western Region of India.   - The candidate will be responsible for Key Accounts selling Akamai APS and Security solutions focusing on FSI (Banks/Insurance), e-Retail, Travel, Hospitality, High Tech and creating a business plan for success that includes marketing activities, pipeline development with the supporting and dedicated telesales team and strategic selling (cold calling, prospect qualification, strategic sales process planning, exploring and closing all new business and revenue opportunities).  About the Team :  - The Akamai Sales organization is responsible for growing customer count and revenues for Akamai in the areas of Web performance, Cloud Security and Mobile. This team manages all sales cycles for these areas and sells every Akamai service available.  Responsibilities :  - Akamai Major Account Executives are responsible for both a revenue number as well as a new business number (Committed Contract Value). Goals/Quotas are set annually but measured monthly and quarterly. Key Major Account Executive activities are focused on acquiring New Customers, defending existing revenue, renewing contracts, prospecting for new business and reporting your activity through Salesforce.com (using all the correct processes) on a daily and weekly basis.  - Identify, research, prospect and acquire New Customers within set of Target Industry Prospects.  - Deliver and overachieve on all annual goals - Revenue, New Customer Contract Value, New Customer Units, Strategic Product Sales.  - Manage and maintain all pipeline/sales related activity within the sales reporting system.  - Work as part of an - Integrated Account Team to define and deliver a premium customer experience over multiple year engagements.  Basic Qualification :  - Ideal candidates will bring with them a range of Internet industry-related contacts.  - Strong background in Internet infrastructure and/or enterprise solution software required.  - 5+ Years in Sales  - Demonstrable and proven track record in over-achieving quarterly and annual quota.  - Must have strong knowledge of Internet and telecommunications concepts and demonstrate the ability to discuss them with intelligence and conviction.  - Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles with key decision makers.  - Formal sales training a must: Solution-Selling and/or Value Selling training preferred.  - Must have high ethics, integrity, and humility and have a desire to be part of a world-class sales and support organization.  Desired Qualification :  - Experience in selling Cloud based offerings.  - Experience in selling Performance Offerings.  - Experience in selling Cloud Security  - Deep connects in FSI, eCommerce organizations etc.
