AGM/DGM - Quality - Refrigeration/Air Conditioning

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1 Day to Day Quality

2 To establish Quality norms for each department and monitor.

3 Audit related activities, able to lead Quality Team for Incoming QC, Process QC, Customer Complaints

4 Leading a Team of 60 to 80 members

5 To monitor the internal rejections and rework and analyze and drive for continuous improvement by carrying out the root cause analysis.

6 To interact with customers on customer complaints and drive for the containment actions and preventive actions.

7 Co-ordinate with Engg department for necessary ECR / ECNs for improvements in the products.

8 Monitor the vendor Quality issues and carry out Vendor development program.

9 Carry out the process capability studies for ensuring the processes are capable of producing consistently good quality.

10 New developments

11 Participate very closely on new developments and field tests and drive for necessary actions for trouble free launch of new products.

12 Involve with suppliers on new developments for assessing the supplier the capability and potential for ensuring the consistent quality.

13 Plan for the infrastructure for Quality for new development and upgrading the existing facility

14 Quality system & Training.

15 To establish Quality systems in all the functions across the organization.

16 To carry out the necessary Quality system audits for monitoring and upgrading where necessary.

17 To train the people on Quality systems, Quality tools and on New products.

18 Others

19 To prepare MIS

20 Liaison with external facilities for certification for the Quality system certifications and product certifications.

Educational Qualifications :

Essential : B.E Mechanical Engg/Diploma in Mechanical

Desirable Refrigeration & Air conditioning back ground and consumer durable experience.Lead Auditor on ISO 9000, Six sigma black belt,

Age 35 to 45 Yrs

Experience: 15 to 20 yrs of which minimum 5 yrs in Managerial capacity

Managerial skills : Managing Quality function in mass production manufacturing unit. Should be capable of driving the entire organization for Quality improvement. Should good communication, interpersonal skills

Technical skills: Experience in Refrigeration and air conditioning industry, ISO 9000, 5S,TQM.KAIZEN, DOE and Six sigma. Good knowledge on Process control plans, Process FMEA, and troubleshooting techniques, R134a refrigeration system, Quality Inspection, Audit. Candidates having experience in Refrigeration, Air-conditioning or Automobile industry will be preferred.
