There is an increasing need to detect, predict, and prevent fraud. Investigating, monitoring and coordinating with the law enforcement agencies in order to mitigate any kinds of frauds that can take place through people, processes or systems.  Challenges :   - Frauds erodes the trust in banks.  - Regulatory changes increase the financial impact of fraud  - Rising use of electronic payments and technology advancements are increasing the incidence of fraud.  - Requires complex and large scale monitoring of people, places, systems and events  - Due to frauds bank are liable for transaction costs, merchant chargebacks and additional fees.  Principal Accountabilities :  Accountability (Write In same format as the Job Purpose) :  Maintaining case databases :   - Assisting in accumulating date for the case reported to assess the genuineness of claim, blocking of funds to reduce exposure, identification of perpetrators, undertaking gap assessment  Reporting to external regulatory bodies :  - Ensure Reporting to Team leader Fraud Risk for further reporting to FIU and assist in Regulatory correspondence and queries related to fraud incidence  Fraud cases reporting :   - Assisting in identifying and reporting major and minor frauds internally to the Team leader  - Assist in coordination with Cyber crime, respective nodal officer and other external parties on fraud cases  Collaborate with compliance team & filing FIR with police :  - Provide fraud & risk data to compliance team for external reporting to RBI and filing of FIR with the police  Blacklisting the customer's accounts :  - Assisting in placing debit freeze on the suspicious accounts. Based on a LEA letter, placing debit freeze on the account.
