A US $40 billion corporation, the Aditya Birla Group is in the League of Fortune 500.   - It is anchored by an extraordinary force of over 120,000 employees belonging to 42 different nationalities.   - The Group has been ranked Number 4 in the global 'Top Companies for Leaders' survey and ranked Number 1 in Asia Pacific for 2011.   - 'Top Companies for Leaders' is the most comprehensive study of organisational leadership in the world conducted by Aon Hewitt, Fortune Magazine, and RBL (a strategic HR and Leadership Advisory firm).   - The Group has topped the Nielsen's Corporate Image Monitor 2012-13 and emerged as the Number 1 corporate, the 'Best in Class'   - This position is in our Sustainability cell, which supports the development of good governance structures, a sustainability framework and practical roadmaps to help our businesses survive and thrive in a changing world and in doing so help achieve the Group's Sustainability Vision.   Job Purpose:  - Support the development and implementation of the ABG Sustainability Model Stakeholder Engagement and Future-Proofing pillars in all the businesses to meet the international best practice.   - Develop new methods at Group level to integrate sustainability trends into the groups and business strategic planning processes.  Qualification and experience:   - Bachelors Degree and 12 - 20 years experience out of which 10 years should have been in a multinational enterprise with at least one senior role.  Principal Accountabilities:  - Working with the individual businesses to improve their strategic stakeholder engagement processes including grievance procedures, horizon scanning and the identification of material issues.  - Review existing LCAs and develop the capability within the group businesses to create more.  - Create the ABG stakeholder engagement policy, standards and guidance notes to allow the identification of key sustainability trends globally, regionally and locally.  - Develop the ABG stakeholder engagement process and using tools such as LCA and horizon scanning create processes whereby the group and its businesses are able to foresee sustainability trends and changes to local and international standards.   - Work with the individual units to improve their strategic planning systems including the incorporation of sustainability trends and the identification of material issues.  - Coach managers the management of non-routine and emergency/crisis situations.   - Champion the creation of the first ABG sustainable development report and subsequent annual reports.  Skills required:   - Highly developed technical expertise in strategic planning, life cycle assessment, horizon scanning and scenario planning.   - Working knowledge of GRI and the ability to project manage the creation of a Sustainability Report.
