Actuarial Analyst

Job Description:
- Fully or partly qualified actuaries with very good understanding and knowledge of non-life (property & casualty) actuarial analytics functions.
- As managing actuary, you will be supervising a team of actuarial personnel performing actuarial studies and statistical analysis of data such as rate indications, profitability study, model development etc.
- You should have proven track record of leading actuarial team in delivering accurate results to agreed deadlines.
- You should have good communication skills and have the ability to work on own initiative with strong technical and leadership skills.
- Responsibilities include providing technical oversight and guidance to staff and coordinate actuarial projects, ensuring effective staff training/cross training, team expansion and hiring, evaluate staff performance, compensation management, and teams- career management.
- The successful candidate will manage the developments and implementation of actuarial reports and process to align group performance with business needs and goals with the primary focus on following:
- Work closely with the casualty pricing functional managers globally to understand business needs and deliver creative solutions
- Perform profitability reviews and recommend actions on pricing and risk selection
- Develop segmentation analyses and build risk monitoring tools to help manage profitability
- Build new pricing models as needed, and update and maintain existing pricing models
- Prepare rate monitoring, AQI and actual versus expected monthly and quarterly reports
- Transactional Pricing - prospective loss estimates for large clients
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Member of international affiliated actuarial organization (CAS, IoA - UK, IoA- India etc.) with good examination progress.
- A strong quantitative background with major in mathematics, statistics, econometrics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, VBA, SAS, SQL or other programming languages strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with customer focus.
