Job Summary:

- To bring deep Metal or Mining industry knowledge, world class process capabilities, innovation and cutting-edge technology to our clients to help them raise their performance to new heights.

- To work with leading global Metal/Mining companies, major customers and suppliers to develop and execute global strategies, manage complex change initiatives and integrate solutions to meet changing business challenges

- Is expected to work competently within one geography, or with close supervision, across geographies

Key Responsibilities:

- To be able to program manage the setting up of green field/brown field integrated production plants

- To be able to work independently in the area of plant automation and maintenance

- Should have thorough understanding of Iron making or any hot metal production /steel making or metal refinement plant /rolling plant

- Should have exposure to SAP enabled production plan and plant maintenance processes

- Should be six sigma black/ or any other methodology like TOC or TRIZ to play the role of a catalyst in metal plant process transformation

- To be able to deliver potential solutions along procurement strategies, operational excellence (Business Process Management and Lean Six Sigma ), process optimization, managing ERP related processes, sourcing of bulk categories, industrial automation for Accenture client in Natural resources

- To harness extensive knowledge combined with an integrated suite of methods, people and assets to deliver sustainable long term solutions

- To provide executives and their teams with the necessary strategies and tools to position their organizations for high performance in the new market realities

Relationships:

Reports to: C&NR vertical - Senior Management and/or Client Leads

Supervises: May supervise one or more analyst level personnel, although not mandatory

External Relationships: Clients, Third party vendors, suppliers, agencies

Qualifications:

Education:

- Engineering Bachelor’s degree from a reputed college

- Masters in Business Administration from a top B school

Work Experience: 1 to 8 years of consulting experience in Metals industry (Steel, Aluminum, copper or Gold) or industry experience

Work Requirements: Extensive travel depending on geographical span

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

- The Analyst will provide depth of knowledge and experience across all facets Metal/Mining industry to help companies seize opportunities in a world of constant change

- Knowledge or exposure to enterprise solutions like SAP, Oracle and/or business solutions like i2/JDA,

- Thorough understanding of metal/mining operational process (Blast furnaces/ Steel making/Rolling processes) and entire value steam

- Thorough understanding of maintenance and automation of plant equipment

- Hands on experience with process modeling tools like ARIS, Casewise, provision or sigma flow tools

- Six Sigma Black belt certified

- To ensure process excellence for key usage scenarios ranging from business diagnostic, organization design, business process design, re-engineering and management to system implementation. Understanding of TPM, Lean Sigma (Black belt certification) or BPM will be preferred

- Understanding of strategic marketing and communications, especially in Chemicals and Natural resources space

- Global perspective and understanding of business marketplace

- Apply comprehensive knowledge for area of specialization inside Accenture

- Project management skills

- Negotiation, mediation and conflict management skills to resolve complex issues

- Able to provide sound solutions to executives within all aspects of Energy value chain

- People Management skills—supervision of Accenture analysts

- Ability to develop and apply creative, workable solutions to project-related issues

- Strong oral and written communications skills

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
