India has been named the number one destination for investments in renewable energy by Bloomberg in 2019 and Ernst and Young in 2020. The government’s ambitious targets, conducive policies to promote climate action and participation of Indian and foreign investors in the ecosystem has created a fast paced growth story. However, to achieve the 450GW target by 2030, India will require an additional investment of $180B.

Altier has developed a financial technology access platform with the aim to simplify investments in renewable energy for lenders and investors. The platform aims to catalyze the growth of funding in the ecosystem by addressing existing challenges and unlocking new sources of capital from domestic and international markets to invest in India’s renewable transition journey. The fully developed online platform for renewable energy funding shall strive to build renewable energy capacity by acting as a single gateway for consumers to access capital to fund renewable projects, thereby simplify financing for consumers, lower due diligence costs for lenders and investors – and creating a standardized and streamlined process for project funding in India and beyond.
