Purpose of the Role This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity and risk mitigation while ensuring a reputable brand through compliance (as per the scope elaborated below) and adherence to Technical and Regulatory standards The OBJECTIVE is to create optimum business landscape while adhering to regulations and compliances in alignment with overall annual business plan, organizational priorities and defined processes. SCOPE OF ROLE - Regulations: ISI, Scheme 1 , Scheme X, Omnibus Technical Regulation, WPC, TEC - Manufacturing units at LOCATION outside INDIA and related product portfolio for QCO related compliances, including the related standards. - Managing certain set of Business Division engagement for Regulatory Compliances and its advocacy under the scope of compliances above - Responsible for standard development through enhancing technical documentation and Repository coalition. - Advocacy and application management and dealing with the respective Regulatory bodies KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1-Advocacy / Pre-advocacy - Track and stay up to date with the latest notifications regarding compliances related to quality, security and wireless regulations, imports, etc. - Create relevant process, based on the notifications, to ensure that the concerned departments are aware of and prepared for upcoming launches with respect to compliance adherence from the applicable date - Drive advocacy in formulating compliance to notifications and the standards on which they are based. - Mitigate any adverse impact on business on account of any regulatory, or compliance requirement. - Use industry insights and realistic timelines to engage with the government and advocate for alignment. - Address any government pushback or additional insights internally to align internal and external perspectives and arrive at implementable solutions. - Build thought leadership and trust with government bodies and industry Associations and sectoral Industry associations. - Connect with the factory and R&D teams to ensure their readiness for new requirements based on government compliance standards. Compliance management and administration: - Technical Regulation Compliances management: Registration of factories located across the globe with regulator, Applications, testing validations, Reporting for payments & compliance, aligning with standards - Lab management: Validating empaneling, Agreements, Advocacy for Testing requirement under Technical Regulation mentioned in the Scope - Surveillance: Scheduling; aligning, responding to queries for the quality, safety and energy efficiency by the respective Government agencies and Regulators - Technical standards: Development, alignment with BD R&D, understanding, engaging for standards being proposed / adopted and Regulations defining energy, safety and quality norms. - Mitigating the foreseen risk as a result of any policy / standard revision: - Alerts and updates on new regulatory changes and the impact on BD - Payments and reporting for Regulatory. - Write off of the models submitted to the regulator for testing purpose as per the Panasonic Policy - Customs Intervention: Preparing Declaration Letters for Customs Clerance - Analysis of new Quality Control Orders (QCO) & Essential requirements (ER Framework of internal processes - Establish internal processes, data sources, and define internal turnaround times (TATs) - Embed checklists for administrative, technical, and business-as-usual requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate adverse impacts. - Collaborate with various departments such as business, administrative, testing, technical, compliance, regulatory, and financial teams to map out their roles and responsibilities in relation to compliance. - Process Documents for All Departments for visible & repeatable smooth flow of Proess for all Stake Holders Audits - Conduct regular internal audits with the team based on established controls and reports to ensure compliance. - Engage in external audits and actively participate in safeguarding the organization's interests, answering any queries raised by regulators during the audit process. Reporting - Generate internal reports as an outcome of the framework of internal processes. - Submit required data to external regulators on a periodic basis as per regulatory requirements

Educational Qualification : Qualified CA with min 7 years of post qualification experience Qualification and Skills - CA with 7-15 Years post qualification experience into Internal Audits, SOX, Internal Controls in a manufacturing set up. - Good understanding of internal controls and have exposure to risk based Internal auditing. - Knowledge of business process such as GL Accounting, AP, AR, Compliances, and manufacturing operations preferably in Consumer durables appliances industry. - Experience of Internal Control Policy drafting and preparation of SOPs. - Exposure to SAP/ERP is must. - Exposure of SOX compliance or J.SOX Compliances - Expert knowledge on Control Designing (CD) and able to check operating effectiveness of Controls. Responsibilities: Risk Management & Controls - Perform different audit tasks which include preparation, paperwork, and other associated reports. - Participate in the development and implementation of policies by providing short and long-term planning. - Identify and mitigate financial risks within the department. - Establish and maintain a strong internal control framework to ensure the integrity of financial data. - Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, minimizing operational risks. - Audit planning, Coordination with External and Internal auditors for effective and timely Audit closures. - Perform other ad hoc related assignments as assigned by the management.
