EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION LEAD : We seek an experienced External Communication Lead to join our Marketing & Communications team in our New Delhi, India office. This role will report to the Head of India Communications and will lead the strategy to build the ZS employer reputation in the India region. Key Success Factors for the Role : - You are a natural storyteller, with excellent verbal and written communication skills - You're comfortable serving as a strategist and advisor to stakeholders, including those at the most senior levels, offering counsel on best practices and influencing adoption - You are an experienced and respected leader, having managed, inspired and motivated teams to excel - You have a deep global perspective with the desire and ability to seamlessly work with a regionally and culturally diverse team, and - You can expertly advocate on the appropriate communication strategy depending upon the message, audience, purpose, etc. Responsibilities : - Plan, organize, and direct overall communication strategies and public relations activities for the India region - Conceptualize, prepare and review material to support communications plans including media releases, blogs, online content, thought leadership articles, media interviews and reactive statements for external and internal use - Coordinate regional PR campaigns through effective management of external PR agencies as well as key internal stakeholders - Partner with business heads to drive proactive and positive media coverage - Identify speaking opportunities for senior executives and provide support in the form of speeches and talking points - Build and develop key media relationships and networks, and respond to media and industry analyst queries - Propose, manage and control budgets, ideas, themes and timescales for corporate events and internal communications campaigns - Monitor news coverage of competitors and other industry bodies - Develop disaster management plan in case of any negative fallout affecting the firm's image - Manage awards submissions for ZS in India Qualifications : - Minimum bachelor's degree in communication, journalism or related field; master's degree (MA/MS/MBA) preferred - 8 years relevant work experience in multi-national professional services environment with demonstrated experience in the scope of this role - Strong experience leading content, creative and business teams to drive high impact PR campaigns - Strong writing, editing and verbal communications skills - Strong evidence of creating content relevant to a young IT/ITES workforce - Demonstrated ability to manage internal client relationships, including senior leaders - Proven record in leading public relations programs that achieve results - Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization skills - Understanding and experience in all key channels - High-energy communications strategist and practitioner
