Zoomcar.com - Lead/Head/Senior Manager/Associate Director - Insurance

About the role:

Looking for a strong leader to join Zoomcar to completely own, develop and lead the end to end execution of Zoomcar's insurance management strategy. Candidate will be responsible for creating first-of-a-kind insurance products by working closely with insurance industry participants and have an opportunity to be at the forefront of fast changing insurance industry landscape in India.

Job Description :

- Shape Zoomcar's insurance strategy by developing a very granular view of the business requirements and market realities

- Own the end-to-end life cycle of insurance at Zoomcar - starting from purchase of insurance, choice of insurance carriers, designing and developing new products to suit the changing business needs and claims management

- Develop a data driven decision framework to execute the insurance strategy

- Set-up and drive a strong operational process to ensure high ROIs on insurance investments for the company

- Work with the tech and product teams internally build an end to end insurance management system

- Build, mentor and manage a team of key managers including insurance purchase, claims management and work with various on-ground teams to manage the over-all insurance process

- Lead Zoomcar's relationships with various industry participants, including insurance companies, insurance brokers, regulators and other allied players

- Keep abreast of latest market developments; study various comparable markets and incorporate learnings into Zoomcar processes and strategy

Requirements :

- Strong preference for candidates with prior insurance industry experience - either in underwriting, claims management or sales.

- Will also consider candidates with significant relevant experience from leading Indian auto manufacturers, leasing companies, etc.

- MBA preferred but not necessary

- Top notch written, spoken and presentation skills

- Understanding of P&L management and ability to read basic financial statements is preferred
