Zonal Sales Manager - Car Care
The primary purpose of this role is to drive the sales team to meet sales targets in a defined area. The area sales manager acts as an interface between the company and the customer and engages in customer relationship management and business development.
Sales targets :
- Micro sales planning and facilitation of forecasting for all products
- Meet sales targets for Car Care products (value/volume based)
- Understanding product & provide demonstrations at customer end & also coach technicians on product/promotional front
- Handling network of primary and secondary customers & tracking consumption data
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and maintain collection efficiency index at the desired level
Market Development :
- Ensure proper product placement to ensure growth in market share
- Negotiate and sign agreements with body shops & detailers
- Win new bodyshops and detailers
- Retain existing customers (bodyshops/detailers),
- Engage in network expansion and channel management
- Gather market intelligence on new trends in the Car care industry, body shop trends, tracking competition activities and provide information to management
- Provide inputs for marketing of new product
- Ensure implementation of marketing initiatives
- Facilitate designing of schemes for brands and ensure the control on the scheme spend
Customer Business Development and Relationship Management :
- Ensure timely delivery of goods/services to the customers
- Ensure speedy resolution of customer complaint in coordination with internal teams (Example: trainers)
- Visit and interact with distributors on a frequent basis to maintain relationship
- Ensure distributors benefit from various schemes
- Ensure customer engagement activities are conducted (e.g. Distributor meets, detailer meets etc.)
People Management :
- Coach, guide and develop team members
- Set goals, appraise performance and provide timely feedback
- Initiate and implement measures to create a sustainable growth culture covering the 3Cs and ethics, compliance and EHS
