A leading FMCG & Foods clients of ours is looking for a Zonal Manager for East Location, based in Kolkatta. This position reports into the VP - Sales & Marketing. The details of the

Role is given below:

Accountability: Responsible for sales and distribution of our products to retail stores through direct or indirect selling for east zone, Responsible for sales and distribution of our products to hyper markets, super markets and large chains for east zone.

Major Deliverable s:

- Formulate and implement sales strategy for General Trade in alignment with the organization's strategy and objectives.

- Formulate and implement sales strategy for Modern Trade in alignment with the organization's strategy and objectives.

- Set annual/ quarterly/ monthly sales targets and formulate the distribution strategy in order to meet the sales target.

- Monitor and control the sales budget to ensure optimum utilization of resources in the region.

- Ensure profitability ratio is achieved in alignment with Management.

- Oversee the zone/ area level sales and distribution plan.

- Review and approve appointment/ assessment/ discontinuation of super stockists.

- Identify and tie-up with upcoming chains to maximise business opportunities

- Design and implement customer relationship strategies for key accounts.

Maintain relationship with the decision makers at the chain to increase order value.

- Partner with the marketing team to share market insights and develop promotional strategies

- Monitor the performance of sales team periodically and ensure maximum capacity utilization.

- Analyse sales data periodically to identify variations from targeted plan and adopt corrective measures

- Responsible for General Trade distribution process and ensure order fulfilment while adhering to delivery standards in terms of time, quality and freshness.

- Analyse training needs of Sales staff and co-ordinate with HR to ensure design and implementation of training programs.

- Establish optimal sales team structure to ensure maximum productivity.

- Drive suitable reward and recognition policies for sales force in consultation with CEO & HR.

- Review the distribution plan with Head-Logistics periodically and evolve better distribution and delivery mechanisms.

- Review the stock status with Head-Production periodically and discuss improvements to ensure timely stock availability
