We have one very urgent HR position in one of BEST life insurance organizations across the following location

BASE LOCATION - Kolkata

OFFERED CTC - negotiable + incentives; depending

upon current CTC.

POSITION - Zonal Head HR - East

SPAN OF CONTROL : Entire East zone [ East 1 & 2 ]

REPORTING - Will report to National SALES HEAD HR

REPORTERS: 5 - 6 Regional HRs

INDICATIVE JOB PROFILE:-

The incumbent will play a role of business HR for the assigned zone to ensure Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, HR operations and Recruitment through the regional team in order to ensure the HR deliverables of the zones are met.

Dimension Remarks

1. Manpower Direct: 5-6

2. Span of Control Approx 100 Branches

All Verticals: DSF/DM/HDFC/TPD/Rural/Business Mentor and all nonsales employees in the regions/Zones

3. Employee experience & engagement Span of control is approx 1500-2500 direct employees across assigned zone.

4) Principal Accountabilities

Accountability Supporting Actions

Create an effective sourcing model & drive effective across the regions/zones to ensure availability of quality manpower within TAT

1. Maintain manning at a budgeted level for all positions.

2. Create a robust sourcing model for FLS hiring to ensure manning of the branches are up to the desired manning levels at all times.

3. Ensure that the sourcing mix is properly managed to reduce dependency on consultants & improve cost efficiencies.

4. Source/Headhunt suitable profiles for all sales /nonsales positions at the regions/zones within TAT

5. To be a part of assessment panel for DAC conducted for all internal promotions at the regions/zones and recommend for selection to next level.

To drive defined processes to increase employee retention at Regions / Zones :

1. To create an effective engagement framework to increase employee retention at regions/zones

2. To ensure structured exit interview with analysis and action planning with ZH.

3. To ensure common employee experience through standardized HR services, interactions across the zone.

4. Define a framework for regular branch visits & drive the same as per the set calendar to identify gaps in various areas from time to time & take prompt corrective actions on the same.

Driving OD/Engagement & other initiatives from time to time :

1. Drive all activities related to pre-OHS & post OHS survey at the regions & Zones

2. Conduct sessions on dissemination of OHS results & subsequent action planning

3. Facilitate Q 12 action planning by engaging with the Q 12 managers for the regions/Zones

4. Drive the organization & Group level Rewards & Recognition programmes to boost employee morale

5. Meaningfully engage with the Zonal Manager & Sales/Support leadership in the Zone to close performance management milestones in an effective manner within TAT

6. Effectively engage with the training team in driving the early career stage initiatives for the FLS in the regions/Zones.

Create a framework to monitor all statuary compliances related to labor laws & maintain harmonious employee relations at regions/zones

1. Audit the branches from time to time on displays/maintenance of registers related to labor laws

2. Create a framework to investigate & resolve employee grievances within the shortest time frame.

3. Engage with the Sales leadership in ensuring a mature & uniform handling of all ERs cases in the regions/ zones.

Ensure induction and onboarding of new employees in the Zone

1. To conduct induction sessions for BMs and other Managers of the Zone / Region

2. To implement structured induction for all employees joining in the regions within defined timelines from DOJ.

3. To collate/consolidate feedback for the zone and decide on actionable & implement an action plan with the ZH.

4. To ensure standard onboarding process is implemented in the zone/regions to given common joining experience to employees.

Ensure prompt resolution of all ER issues which may come up from time to time and ensure compliance with labor laws.

1. Conduct detailed investigation

2. Make comprehensive reports based on facts and recommend further course

3. Implement action recommended keeping in mind sensitivities involved.

4. Ensure labor law compliance in Branches and Zonal Office.

Facilitate team development through effective interventions

1. Guide and coach the team in order to enhance performance.

2. Identify training needs of team members and provide on the job training and monitor progress.

3. Provide regular feedback on performance

4. Ensure career development of team members through timely role changes and enhancements

GROWTH PATH: The current ZHR has been absorbed in a role at the group company which is listed & has 12 companies operating under its umbrella in various domains. The organization culture encourages mobility across roles to promote growth for every individual after every 2 - 3 years within the company OR group of companies. [ That is 1 reason because of which candidates open to relocating are welcome, however from TOP B schools of the country ].

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

- Currently, handling a zone/region / pan India / Corporate with a large manpower base as a BPHR / Sales HR.

- Good knowledge of latest HR practices

- Should be from a TIER 1 B School.

Experience: Max 12 years.
