Zonal Business Head for managing the branch network and regional network,NBFC,Microfinancing,Kolkata


Job Summary :


- Zonal Business Head leads the assigned zone and is operationally responsible for managing the branch network and regional network, i.e. Member Services, Risk, Audit and Support Functions of assigned zone.


- The incumbent will work with the senior management to drive Sales Strategy and Plans of the zone and also will be responsible for Customer Acquisition and Revenue Growth, Process and Regulatory Compliance, People Management and Records Maintenance and MIS Reports preparation.


- He/She will work closely with functions like Risk, Audit and support functions (Finance, HR, Administration, IT etc) as well as external stakeholders to support achievement of vision and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities :

Sales Strategy & Plans :

- Business planning on quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis for zone (revenue achievement plan + revenue mix)

- Manpower planning and recruitment in line with B plan.

- Develop short term and long term sales and penetration plans for assigned zone in coordination with MS head.

- Budgeting and tracking capital and operational expenditure at the zone. Financials to be consolidated at zone level for revenues and costs

Operations Management :

- Coordinate with all support departments (HR, IT, Accounts, Admin) to ensure optimum support at zonal level in order to meet the business targets, compliance and quality.

Process and Regulatory Compliance :

- Inputs for corporate level risk rating, Identification of zonal risks tracking risk management measures and implementing mitigation mechanisms.

- Implementing and monitoring of unified code of conduct Sa-dhan, MFIN and RBI guidelines.

- Implementing and monitoring of Client Protection Principles.

- Implementation and tracking of credit bureau reports.

People Management :

- Responsible for capacity and capability building of zonal staff which includes regional and branch process, product training, soft-skill & leadership training.

- Manage a team of front line sales personnel to ensure channel partners meet the requirements of the company in terms of policies, procedures, infrastructure, activities etc.

P&L Responsibility :

- Cost control

- Deliver profitables at branch and regional level.

- Drive business growth through identification & development of new undiscovered market/ segments.

- Deliver on Financial goals for the business; identify opportunities for Growth & deliver on growth commitments; identify key cost drivers and ensure they are optimized.

Qualifications / Required Knowledge :

- Passionate commitment to BFIL's mission

- Good interpersonal, relationship management and rapport building skills. Ability to effectively partner with and indirectly lead functional partners

- Ability to understand commercial and financial drivers

- Demonstrated knowledge in driving business objectives

- A self starter, good at prioritizing and meeting strict deadlines

- Strong leadership skills

Required Education and Experience :

- Post graduate in Management from reputed university

- Specialization in Rural Management would be advantageous

- Experience in leading large sales and operations teams in Financial Services is preferable. Rural exposure is an added advantage.

- 16+ years of experience with last few years in managing diversified set of professionals.

- Should have handled a profit centre for at least 3 years and a field force of at least 100+.

- Effective communication skills with excellent relationship building & interpersonal skills - ability to convey compelling arguments while maintaining rapport - effective one-on-one and in small and large groups across the organization.
