JD for Legal Manager We, at Zolo (www.zolostays.com), are looking for a Legal Manager . Our ideal candidate comes with 5-7 years of strong Corporate-Legal experience in the Real Estate sector. He/She is expected to have excellent legal and business acumen with a keen eye for detail, ability to multi-task and an excellent communicator and problem-solver. The position would involve working very closely with the senior management and the corporate finance team at Zolo. We are now looking to increase our portfolio of products as well as tap into multiple cities in next few months. More about the role responsibilities : 1. Provide complete legal support to the companyâ€™s business functions, compliances and requirements. 2. Draft, revise, improve, and negotiate commercial contracts such as Service agreement, MoU, NDA, PoA, MoE, LoI, Agreement of Sale, Conveyance Deed, Development Agreement, Leave &amp; License, Lease Deed, Declaration Cum Confirmations, Indenture of Mortgage, etc. 3. Due Diligence, Pre-closing, Closing and Post-closing Compliances. 4. Create, update, and distribute standard contracts and related documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures, monitor and track contract flow volume. 5. Providing advisories to various functions and stakeholders. 6. Manage a database of contractual arrangements and maintain a system to track executed contracts, regulations and all necessary compliances, including reminder systems for any required follow-up, provide consultants with appropriate forms of agreement on a variety of engagement-related legal issues. 7. Reviewing and interpreting pending or new legislation or regulatory rules and change in interpretation thereof or consequent risk assessment and the impact thereof on Zolo business to ensure compliance or strategy changes. Focus on what is right for the company not just what is best for the group, project or self. Act in ways that optimizes the overall business. 8. Encourage cross-functional and cross business brainstorming and project teaming, while collaborating with CFO/ CSO and City Heads to identify useful and strategically relevant insights. 9. Partner with the Human Resources team to provide advice on labor and employment laws, drive compliance with these regulations and assist in building sustainable processes. More about the role requirements: 1. Thorough knowledge of Real Estate and Corporate Laws, including but not limited to Company Law, MRTP, IT Act, FEMA, Contracts Act, Consumer Laws, Consumer, Civil and Criminal litigation, TPA, RERA, SEBI, Arbitration, FDI policies,, exchange control regulations, etc. 2. Experience in Real Estate environment with support to multiple jurisdictions and legal counsels. 3. Excellent drafting skills with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, organizational skills and judgment. 4. Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task, handle high volume of work, recognize priorities, and manage time effectively. 5. Ability to function independently but with the awareness of when to involve an external attorney/law firm. 6. Must possess good liaising skills. 7. Ability to take initiative in a constantly changing work environment and a generalist do-what-it-takes mind-set 8. Educational Background : LL.B Degree /Integrated LL.B Degree from a leading law school in India (CS qualification would be an added advantage). 9. Strong oral, written communication, planning and organizing skills to effectively plan own time and manage assigned projects. Legal and Commercial awareness, detail - focus and ability to understand and apply commercial and financial principles to business thinking. Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail 10. Complete fluency in English and Hindi is a must. 11.
