ZipLoan - Vice President - Credit

Job Description:

The VP-Credit will manage a team responsible for credit underwriting. Some of the key elements that we intend the VP-Credit to imbibe are as follows-

1) Fostering an open culture- At ZipLoan, we strongly believe in a culture of motivated and self-driven individuals. We would prefer that the VP-Credit too builds a similar culture and encourages his team to voice their opinions.

2) Improving efficiency- Retail lending is largely a business of getting the processes right. Thus, the VP-Credit should aim at improving processes and systems such that we are able to scale the business in an efficient manner.

3) Appetite to take calculated risks- at ZipLoan, we are aiming to address a segment that Financial Institutions have historically shied away from. Thus, the person should be willing to identify opportunities and assess the risk before attempting such a segment.

If all of the above is addressed, we believe that a quality loan portfolio will be a given outcome.

Responsibilities

1) Enable high quality growth for the retail loan business to meet our strategic objective of AUM in the next 3 - 4 years.

2) Deliver a profitable Small Business Loan book with immaculate portfolio quality by growing all the revenue pools and business segments

3) The role of the VP - Credit requires a deep understanding and hands on experience of unsecured business loans to businesses & Self-Employed professionals as well as industry knowledge & market intelligence.

4) Most critical is to have an in-depth understanding of customer needs and design products, processes which deliver differentiated service level.

5) This is an individual as well as team contributor role and the candidate must have the ability to work and lead a set of shared resources to deliver and drive exceptional results.

Position requirements

10-12 years of experience in Credit with at least 3 years of handling a Zone.

MBA (Finance)/ CA

Responsiveness, judgment, maturity, integrity, and time management skills are required
