Background to the position:

- Reporting to the President-Banking India, you will lead a team of senior sales engineers. Responsible for an annual goal, your team will partner with the Business Development team to win deals.


- As the head of the Pre-Sales engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering technical consultancy and pre-sales activities, and transfer industry, technical and product knowledge to customers via good written, verbal and presentation skills.


- The successful candidate will assist in all levels of technical account planning and accompany Business Development Managers on customer meetings. Working with the Business Development Team, your responsibilities will include the development of formal written sales proposals and tender responses and the ability to present and differentiate product offerings at a technical level.


- In effect you will enable the BD team in Positioning Zeta as the Defacto Modern Issuance Platform among target clients- technology and business teams.


Your primary responsibilities include:

- Establishing a standard of excellence for the pre-sales engineering function.

- In addition to personally being responsible for pre-sales engineering with clients, you will be responsible for recruiting developing, coaching and directing sales engineers on your team to be successful, one deal at a time.

- Design and architect solutions to solve for Customer requirements

- Be a technical authority and thought leader.

- Manage alignment between the sales and delivery teams. Provide clarity and visibility of status & incremental progress for senior management.

- Build technical relationships with prospects and/or existing customers

- Support the Sales Team with customer-facing technical pre-sales assistance

- Deliver product presentations and demonstrations, and provide support at external and internal customer facing events

- Build custom demonstrations and ideate and ensure delivery of Proof Of Concepts (POC)

- Compare competitive products to specify the most advantageous solutions for customer

- Play a lead role in specifying technical solutions and writing proposals and tender/RFP responses.

Experience

- Dynamic leader with proven pre-sales engineering expertise with 8+ years of experience typically gained within the financial services industry, preferably working with solution providers catering to the needs of banks/financial institutions/fintechs.

- Extensive exposure to Pre-Sales Engineering in enterprise sales businesses and a proven track record in building and scaling cutting edge solutions with clients in the financial services industry.

- Technical solutioning skills with deep understanding of technical API integrations.

- Very process oriented

- Strong Business knowledge of Financial Services and Technology and demonstrated ability to work with clients in understanding their technical requirements and building world-class customised solutions

Specific knowledge

- Knowledge of the Indian Banking and Financial Services industry.

- Proven pre-sales engineering experience in B2B enterprise.

Management & Leadership Capabilities:

The candidate should also possess:

- Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability and deep understanding of technology related to financial services and payment products.

- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills - able to influence and manage the expectations of senior executives and others

- Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both business, operations and technology teams internally and externally

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills. Ability to engage with senior management.

- Adaptable, approachable, open minded with a clear understanding of the business; The incumbent must bring the ability and orientation to contribute beyond his scope of work

- High degree of integrity, moral and ethical standards

- Hands on, i.e. - roll-up-sleeve- type individual who is able to cope with a fast-paced work environment

EDUCATION


- The incumbent should be a qualified Computer Science engineer from a top institution in India or US. MBA from a premier institute would be an added advantage.
