JD - Reconciliation and Payments Associate The person is responsible for performing a variety of activities to reconcile loan accounts discrepancies; researching any discrepancies to ensure accounts are updated with the accurate account information; deep dive into data to respond to the needs of internal customers and lender clients, providing resolution to reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner according to company &amp; client specification; report all issues and trends to the appropriate personnel as required. As a part of the Reconciliation Team, you will perform moderately complex reconciliations which require a basic understanding of accounting concepts and being highly proficient with Microsoft Office Excel. Roles and Responsibilities :&nbsp; - Access internal database systems, multiple PG reports, and other system applications or contact the lender client directly to verify loan/ nodal bank account balances and make necessary adjustments according to established policies and procedures - Review EMI payments received from borrower and apply appropriate amount to the lender account - Treat each exception in the reconciliation with the highest level of professionalism and ensure immediate resolution. - Daily review of various system exception reports, researching and repairing as necessary. - Daily reconciliation of core loan system to the general ledger. - Weekly/Monthly review and follow up of outstanding issues. - Report any losses, irregularities and/or variances identified during the preparation of the reconciliations. - Assist with the resolution of old outstanding items at a company-wide level in order to decrease provisions for outstanding items.
