Our clients range from small size business like home-based entrepreneurs & small shop owners to enterprise brands like William Penn, Sangeetha Mobile, Hometown, etc. We deliver the maximum value to midsize businesses who have established their offline business well & are now looking to grow their online sales.

We are a 5 year old business & have offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. We are a 65 people team spread across Sales, Operations, Tech, Marketing & Admins departments. We are backed by Paytm, Tally, The Morpheus & a few other prominent angel investors. As a business, we have achieved the breakeven & are now focused on cash-flow generation more than investor financing.

About the Job

As Head of Engineering, you will oversee end to end development of our product and will be responsible for the overall technical direction of the team. You will be the go to person for all things tech - recruitment, management, architecture, troubleshooting and mentoring and growing the entire team.

- You will decide and champion the overall technical direction of the tech team.

- You will guide, mentor and inspire a talented group of Engineers from various fields

- You will be drive processes in various teams of UI, QA, PM, Dev, DevOps.

- You will collaborate with the Product team and various other teams - Marketing, Operations, Business Development and the CEO to build the roadmap with features most important to our customers.

- You will plan and execute the roadmap based on a excellent understanding of your engineering team.

- You will run the engineering team with a strong hands-on approach and dive into code whenever required.

- You will design and architect applications for scale, reliability and security.

- You will design and guide the setup and scaling of infrastructure of your applications on AWS.

- You will build partnerships with vendors and lead integrations.

- You will also be responsible for hiring and growing the team with top notch engineers.

About You

- You have at least 5 years of total experience and at least 2 years of experience leading teams.

- You have strong working knowledge of developing and scaling customer facing applications built on Java based technologies.

- You have expert level command over skills like Spring, Hibernate, Caching, Queuing, Microservices, API development, MYSQL, Memory management.

- You have strong experience deploying, scaling and managing applications on AWS.

- You have an unparalleled ability to troubleshoot problems making you the go to guy for all things technical.

- You have your pulse on technology, best practices and processes followed as an industry standard and are able to impart this knowledge to your team

- You are able to inspire and command respect of your team with your knowledge, passion and energy.

- You have extraordinary communication skills - written and oral.
