ZAYA - Manager - Alliances (2-4 yrs)

Position Summary :

We are looking for a driven, smart and experienced professional to lead our alliances and partnerships pan Asia. The successful candidate must believe in the core values of Zaya Learning Labs and be driven by the mission, and should also be passionate to build a scalable business.

- Above all, we are seeking an individual who has a proven experience in a rapid-growth, multi-located business preferably in a service, education or similar sector.

Reporting to the CEO, the Alliances Manager will drive all external growth and business.

Strategic Alliance Development :

- Contribute to the development and refinement of Zaya's alliance vision and strategy.

- Developing and maintaining partnerships with governments, large donors and development organizations like UN, USAID and Indian CSR initiatives interested in education. This includes developing new proposals for funding schools, writing grants etc.

- Working with content partner and setting up channels to sales into new markets

- Developing partnerships with content partners to onboard them into our platform

- Negotiating and developing revenue share models with content partners

- Executing cross-selling relationships with content partners

- Build progress trackers are created to achieve the forecasted business targets.

- Ensure efficient and effective marketing, advertising and promotional planning through the Marketing team.

- Drive the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results.

- Research and identify key market trends as they relate to Zaya's business. Work with the senior management team to implement resulting program developments.

- Representing Zaya at both national and Global events which will aid in business growth.

- Ongoing reporting to senior management on alliances developments and team performance.

- Build, grow and manage sales and marketing teams

Your skills and experience should include :

Results : proven track record of meeting aggressive goals and a bottom-line orientation; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment, the ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget; and problem solving, project management, and creative resourcefulness

Strategic Vision and Agility :ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan

Action Oriented : enjoys working hard and looks for challenges; able to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available; not afraid to take charge of a situation; can overcome resistance to leadership and take unpopular stands when necessary

Presentation Skills : Ability to create and deliver on-the-go presentations to clients and corporate clients. Communicate the vision and product clearly and ability to brainstorm ideas with customers.

- Comfortable working in emerging and frontier markets in ambiguous and dynamic startup environments.Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Zaya. Solid educational background- a very good undergraduate degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree highly desired. Savvy startup mentality - no task is - beneath- qualifications and no goal is too big to reach

- Team player able to wear many hats, and add on more hats when needed Familiarity with online learning content and providers High ethical standards. Comfortable with ambiguity and unpredictable work hours. Experience working in a start-up strongly preferred
