Role Summary:

Strategic sourcing managers analyse and direct procurement expenditure. They source strategic supply partners, develop sourcing policies, and create cost estimates and forecasts. They also negotiate fair and cost-effective supply contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the development of Sourcing & Procurement Project

2. Ensure Risks and Issues are being tracked and mitigated/resolved

3. Organise meetings and train stakeholders about the processes

4. Authorise the project's continuance or early closure at stage review meetings of the Project team

5. Hold a Post-Project Review to ensure benefits are realised

6. Research potential vendors

7. Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers

8. Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing

9. Co-ordinate with other teams to understand their requirements and make purchases accordingly.

10. Track orders and ensure timely delivery

11. Review quality of purchased products

12. Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases

13. Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices

14. Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses

15. Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed

16. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

17. Establish e-procurement in the organization

18. Ensure that PR to Payment process happens seamless and on time.

Key Requirements:

- Experience 4 to 6 years

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Good knowledge about purchase tools.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills.

- Good analytical and strategic thinking.

- Attention to detail.

- Ability to develop good relationships with suppliers

- Effective tactics for negotiating costs and contracts

- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market

- Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software

- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
