Chief of Staff

Yolobus aims to standardize intercity bus transport in India. We are present in North & South India and are expanding rapidly. We have a Uber-like format where we don- t own buses, but majorly take care of the operational and technology side of the business including standardizing of operations and using technology to bring predictability, accountability and transparency to our riders and driver partners.

Job Description

- Plays a key role in the company. Manages other staff members. Serves as confidant and right hand for the chief executive officer and assists other executive board members in various ways. Supports the company's functions according to circumstances and needs.

Role & Responsibilities

- Has a flexible mindset and is willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs of the company and its staff members.

- Participates in program management, which involves duties on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

- Within program management, organizes and gathers information from various departments and meetings and reports that information, along with recommendations, to executive members.

- Participates in strategic initiatives by leading them and reporting results back to the chief executive officer.

- Within strategic initiatives, demonstrates flexibility because some initiatives may not fit neatly into one of the company's departments.

- Helps members of the executive support staff to perform their duties to the best of their ability.

- Provides training and coaching for other staff members.

- Carries out other duties as necessary, which may include simple tasks such as filing and making phone calls.

- Organizes a calendar and keeps track of multiple projects at the same time.

- Keeps up with industry trends by reading literature and communicating with peers.

- Acts as a representative of the chief executive officer in his absence.

- Meeting preparation and follow up: reviewing upcoming meetings for the week to ensure CEO has all of the information needed to be as productive as possible and sending out agendas or documents to meeting attendees as necessary.

- Reviewing Internal and External Communications: drafting company newsletters, reports, pitch decks, speeches or presentations for the CEO.

- Ensuring a CEO's involvement in a project or decision-making process at the right moment.

- Creating & updating dashboards for reviewing key performance indicators.

- Drafting & posting job descriptions, outlining an interview process, and screening candidates for roles reporting into the CEO.

Skills and Qualifications

- Graduate or higher Degree in Business, Finance, Management or similar field from IITs, IIMs, ISB or Ivy League colleges.

- Prior consulting experience with a focus on operations management.

- Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions

- Strong project reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication.

- Leadership, management and strong organizational skills an experience

- Experience with data analysis

- Excellent Oral & Written Communication skills
