EVP/GEVP - Country Head - Fraud Investigation Unit

BU/Function : Audit and Management Governance (Fraud Investigation Unit )

Reporting to Chief of Internal Vigilance :

Responsibilities/ Job Description :

- Heading the Fraud Investigations team for the Bank - PAN India role covering all products, including Assets (Corporate & Retail), Liabilities, Trade, Treasury, Branch Operations, Clearing, CMS, Treasury etc.

- Team will be responsible for investigation of actual or attempted frauds and corruption cases.

- Handling a team of 8 fraud examiners (CA/MBA/CFE qualified), being lead by 2 staff members at VP/SVP level, from Mumbai and Gurgaon.

- Responsible for completing investigations, within time and resources allotted.

- Ensuring proper coverage and quality of investigations, including review of all related processes, and suggesting relevant process and system improvements.

- Ensuring timely and proper internal and external reporting to the Audit Committee, Fraud Monitoring Committee, Board of Directors, and FMR reporting to the RBI.

- Personally conducting investigations, especially involving high level officials. Should be adept in investigation procedures end to end, including conducting interviews of suspects and witnesses, forensic procedures for laptop/email reviews, finalization of investigation reports etc.

- Organizer of quarterly review meetings of the Fraud Control and Suspicious Transactions Monitoring Committee (Executive Committee).

- Participating in and closing discussions with senior most officials of the Bank. Should have good verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications and relevant experience :

- Professional qualifications like CA/CFE/MBA (in Finance) from a reputed institute.

- Experience in conducting and leading investigations in BFSI sector.

- Good academic record.

- 12-15 years post qualification relevant experience in Fraud Investigations. Experience in related areas of Fraud Risk Control and Internal Audits will also be appreciated.
