Essential Responsibilities - Build and Lead sourcing team for Ecosystem products including but not limited to mobile accessories, Appliances and TV - Take overall responsibility for the sourcing management goals for the assigned product lines and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved - Evaluate suppliers core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models - Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers - Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities - Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.) - Coordinate with relevant teams in India and China to get forecasts developed for future demand and orders placed in a timely fashion based upon vendor lead-time - Develop and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally - Implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions - Competitor Benchmarking in terms of contract manufacturing vendors usage and cost structures - Ensure cost optimization on aspect of Supply Chain, Value engineering on shop floor - Interact with SCM team, Category team, Marketing, QA and after sales team for CAPA - Responsible for Vendor development &amp; Vendor management, Qualifications, Skills and Abilities: - Bachelor's degree and at least Eight (8) to twelve (12) years purchasing/strategic sourcing experience in mobile accessories and small/large home appliances sector - Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering background preferred - Experience with contract manufacturing vendors - Strong preference for some international sourcing experience - Strongly prefer some plastic and sheet metal part/component sourcing experience - Ability to manage multiple projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed-upon success criteria) - Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts would be a big plus - Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, with advanced Excel knowledge - Knowledge of Standards - BIS / IEC Indian regulatory standards for Consumer Electronics - Product Development, Tooling and Moulds - Analyze Costing at BOM level - Behavioral Competencies - Must be a team Player - Willingness to travel - Strong pragmatic, implementation and organizational skills, with a 'can do' approach, and an eye for detail.
