Insurance Analytics with WNS

Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) vertical comprise 600+ analysts providing leading research and analytics support to marquee clients

The right combination of domain-expertise, statistical and predictive modeling rigor and specialized data integration and BI / OLAP capability to develop Analytics center of Excellence (CoE)

The COE comprise 400+ analysts providing the following services :

200 analysts providing data management, analytics and reporting services across the insurance value chain, ranging from marketing and product development to claims

200 analysts providing actuarial and actuarial support services for life and general 50 analysts s supporting business, financial and market.

Responsibilities

- This is part of the advanced analytics delivery team supporting leading global Insurance client

- Will be working on projects as part of an offshore team based in Bangalore & may also be leading projects for Claims or underwriting areas, depending on level of experience

- Experience working in an onshore-offshore team model is preferred

- Would be expected to understand business problems in various areas of insurance operations for the client provide analytics solutions, drive business insights by using advanced analytics in collaboration with onshore team.

- Project-based execution - Identify opportunities, execute Pilots and POC in alignment with the business problems

- Develop descriptive, predictive and prescriptive models to solve business problems. Review effectiveness of models to determine readiness for business use and deployment challenges from a business and IT perspective

- Manage the end to end delivery of given analytical projects in collaboration with onshore team

- Prepare high impact presentations highlighting project scope, deliverables, and benefits. May need to manage and lead single or multiple teams

- Ability to assess the risks which can affect project delivery. Proactive highlighting them to the program manager and other key stakeholders

Job Criteria

- Knowledge of statistical techniques such as OLS, Logistic regression, CHAID, Cluster, Factor Analysis and advance cognitive computing techniques (Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, etc.) such as Neural network, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Bayesian Techniques, Markov-Chain and Stochastic Modelling

- Hands on knowledge in statistical tools SAS (must), R (must), Python, and SQL etc.

- Prior experience in Insurance domain preferred

- Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to influence and gain consensus

Qualification

Graduate/Masters in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Engineering/Computer Science or MBA with Quantitative Background in Bachelor's Degree
