VP - India Operations (Payment Gateway & Online Gaming) - Partially Remote

- The role presents a unique opportunity to drive our company's expansion into the Indian market and is ideal for someone who has the right mix of leadership, passion, energy, and experience to build our Payment Gateway business. The role will have primary responsibility for leading and building Company operations, the overall growth strategy, organizational leadership, financial and organizational management, and external communications.

- The role will also be responsible for providing the short term and long-term company vision as well as the development of the sales and marketing strategy. He/she should be commercially focused, with a holistic understanding of operational, regulatory & acquisition activities required to drive business growth and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

- Drive Business Growth / P&L ownership - responsible for achieving operational and financial metrics including revenue and gross profit.

- Develop and manage operating budgets / forecasts and perform periodic reviews to understand progress towards growth, profitability, and scalability objectives.

- Perform in-depth cost-benefit analysis to own, define and prioritise the roadmap of the business on a regular basis

- Responsible for identifying new opportunities of partnership and alliances.

- Develop sound sales strategies, analyse data trends and client performance, and create & deliver persuasive strategic pitches and sales presentations.

- Cracking and managing large accounts

- Examine sales performance considering specified key performance metrics and implement modifications for the best outcomes.

- Working on strategies for retentions and referrals to increase company revenue.

- User Acquisition: Work with merchants and strategic partners to acquire users at minimal cost and highest efficiency

- Product Development: Work to continuously enhance overall product offering (both for merchants and for users)

Key Requirements and Skills:

- Proven experience in a senior leadership role (5+ years), preferably within the financial services (payment gateways), Online Gaming Industry, Card industry, Fintech organizations or alternatively, experience with eCommerce industry. Minimum 10+ years of total experience preferred.

- Excellent leadership, negotiation, management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills

- Prior experience of Foreign Exchange and payments products highly beneficial.

- Experience in setting up new operations in India preferred.

- Highly developed ability to conceptualise, communicate and solve complex problems of different nature at a very fast-paced environment

- Experience in market entry/market development highly beneficial

- Banking Knowledge such as transaction processing from initiation.

- Entire domain knowledge on Payment Settlement.

- Demonstrative experience managing a P&L and executing business strategies at a regional level.

- Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements.

- Working knowledge of KYC/ Anti Money Laundering (AML) Requirements

- Extensive knowledge of the Client Onboarding processes, Risk, Chargeback & Fraud management

- Be informed of the payment industry landscape, competitions/competitors and client requirements at various levels.

- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

- Experience in a global, matrix organisation and familiarity with global reporting lines is beneficial.
