Practice Head - Networks - Network Domain within the Communication BU comprises expertise to support account teams in engaging with service provider CTO/CxO organisations, developing sales propositions, building and deploying solutions involving network consultancy, design & engineering and managed network operations. - The domain team has the capability to provide many such services directly, and also has partnership / alliances with new age & traditional product vendors / Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to build comprehensive and compelling propositions. - The main aim of this role is to bring on board an individual with deep domain expertise and relevant experience and has good understanding of the telecom market in terms of technology /market trends, challenges faced by service providers, Value chain construct, services evolution and partner ecosystem. - This is a global role to develop the domain competency/capability to build market relevant offerings and delivery capability to support growth for network services business. - This position is based in Bangalore and will report to the Domain Head - Communications BU. - The right individual brings in multi domain, multi technology expertise across traditional and new age technologies spanning across wireless, wireline and cloud technologies. Should possess domain knowledge and operational experience in a large service provider environment as a part of the CTO/CTIO organization. Core responsibilities : - Play an advisory role to customers and prospects and provide thought leadership & Business / Network transformation recommendations in various technology areas. - Keep abreast of market & technology trends to build the telecom practice strategy & establish objectives thereof including critical themes with market relevance. - Support Account/Sales teams to manage the pre-sales process with clients and provide the leadership throughout the sales-cycle from initial qualification to closure of the deal - Interlock with India/Global based practice teams on RFPs/Events/Go-to-Market (GTM) on solutions - Provide technical & architecture guidance, for various technology domains & practice teams for capability & competency building. - Develop & foster partnerships for building solutions and GTM plans - Should be able to map solutions / offerings to client/market's demands, develop value proposition & business case. - Managing work in such a way that the results are both of distinctive quality and useful to the client in terms of improving competitive position Qualifications & Experience : - BE in Electronics and telecommunications. Additional qualification in business management is desirable. - 20+ years of experience in Telecom domain, preferably in service provider industry. - Experience in technology life cycle management across Strategy, Planning, Engineering Implementation, Operations and Maintenance of Telecom networks spanning voice, data & video services across wireless & wireline domains. - Conversant with Day 0 / Day 1 / Day 2 activities in a telecom SP environment. - Good understanding of various budget pools for the network domain of the customer organization - Clear understanding of the various services for B2C & B2B segments from an End-to-end perspective across legacy & new age technologies - Telco Cloud, SDN/NFV, LTE, 5G, Edge Computing, Network Automation, Orchestration, Security, Analytics - Exposure to IT platforms and systems related to network/service management is preferred. Other Skills : - Senior level presence, with the capability to build credibility and gain trust & respect. - Ability to thoughtfully challenge decisions or recommendation as appropriate. - Self-driven, high-performing, result-oriented & entrepreneurial head with excellent networking skills. - A leader with ability to motivate and energize the team. - An inherent passion for technology and the ability to evangelize the same across the company. - Strong communication skills, externally as well as internally and ability to build and maintain relations across the global operations. - Ability to develop and build a public profile with the media and press in addition to speaking at external seminars. - Ability to operate and influence at board level both internally and within an external client base. - This job demands frequent Global travel
