Objective &amp; Key Accountabilities: Major Responsibilities - The Solutions Architect (SA) will work closely with the field account and services Sales teams and Pre sales teams to drive bookings for Hosting and Cloud opportunities, focusing primarily on large deals with major accounts. The profile has Techno Commercial role with experience in working on large outsourcing deals - The Solution Architect needs to be proficient in all virtualization practices and be able to manage all hosting and outsourcing opportunities leading to new Businesses. Using a Domain Model, SA will prepare create proposals which include the business requirements, technical requirements and appropriate solution stating the delivery times and schedules for the design, development and testing of the solution components and managed services - In addition to sales and scope management expertise, the solutions architect will need in-depth knowledge of traditional Data Center deployments and the Virtualization solution stack. Using this experience and knowledge of Virtualization's products, SA will advise clients on issues related to the solution design and deployment including the technical impact and business benefits. - The SA should be proficient in proven Solutions on both x86 Architecture and Unix Platform. SA should be able to stitch end to end solution comprising of IT infrastructure including Platform Storage Backup, Network and Security, Operating System and Database Licensing.&nbsp; - Cloud Solutions from VmWare, HyperV and Amazon Web Services would be part of Solution proposition. Solutions include Primary Centralized Data Center and Disaster Recovery Solutions. Replication solution for enterprise applications and databases. Responsibilities: - Participate in the Pre-sales process to understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements - Able to translate business requirements into capabilities that can be delivered with the Virtualization Cloud Management solution and show how this can provide business benefit and value - Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of the entire Virtualization product line - Ability to navigate stakeholder community in customer to gain consensus to a Virtualization cloud management strategy - Ability to navigate and orchestrate the Virtualization technical, commercial and product management communities - A senior technical leader with independence and gravitas that the customer will respect and look to for guidance on long-term technical and architectural strategy Requirements: - Extensive experience of Data Center Hosting and one or more cloud management solutions - Extensive Presales and Solution Architecting experience in a consulting and/or professional services environment - Strong technical solutions architect in a consulting environment, including time supporting sales and managing technical staff and implementations - Experience in a technical lead role for small- or medium-size teams - Strong presentation, executive client management and business development skills - Able to communicate effectively at CIO and Chief Architect level to articulate and differentiate the Virtualization management stack Desired Experience/Skills - Excellent customer service skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently to support deadlines - Ability to handle multiple complex tasks, with tight deadlines concurrently - Demonstrate ability to perform well in a dynamic environment, with on-time delivery - Demonstrate ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues - Demonstrate ability to write and present effective materials, including presentations, status reporting, technical diagrams and flowcharts - Deliver presentations and tech-talks to both internal and external customers - Ability to collaborate with a team working across multiple locations Responsibility and Interaction: - The tasks this individual is responsible are often unstructured and the issues addressed are less defined requiring new perspectives and creative approaches - This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation - Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions - Limited supervision and direction is provided, as this individual can operate and drive results and set priorities independently - The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert - The profile includes travel to customer locations across the country and drive projects independently Desired Technical Knowledge - Technical Consultancy - IT Infrastructure / Cloud Computing / Virtualization - Product Management / Pre-Sales - IT Infrastructure / Cloud Computing / Virtualization - Solutioning - IT Infrastructure / Cloud Computing / Virtualization - Product Management / Pre Sales - Data Center, Virtualization, IT Infrastructure - RFI / RFP Response Creation for Customer Accounts - Key Account Management / Relationship Management &amp; Customer Satisfaction - Liaison and Coordination - Project Management Qualification - Work experience of 10 -15 years Educational Qualification - Bachelors in Engineering degree in Information Technology/Computer Science.
