Manager - Supply Chain (Planning and Logistics)

Job Purpose :

This position will handle central planning function for India business. Planning will encompass Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Capacity Planning; Position is based out of head office.

Skills/Qualifications :

This is a central planning profile :

- BE and MBA with 3-5 years of experience

- Candidate should be from FMCG industry (Pref. NITIE)

Specific skill sets :

- Demand forecasting under dynamic market conditions

- Supply planning (Production Planning, Distribution Planning, Promotions Planning, New Product Introduction) at lowest level of granularity. Ownership of supply from production planning till availability at depots while respecting lead times.

- SAP / JDA Oracle etc ERP / Planning tools working knowledge preferable.

- Aligning the weekly demand to production plans and production schedules on a monthly basis.

- Interfacing with factories to ensure plans are met - sound understanding of factory constraints and debottlenecking mechanism. Previous experience in FMCG production or planning will be advantage

- Interfacing with sales to ensure demand is sufficiently captured, understood and fulfilled.

- Hands on experience of logistics - interface with transport vendors, managing contracts.

- Analytical skills : using data for decision making. No demand will be accurate so sound anticipation skills needed. Advanced Excel skills will be appreciated.
