Process synopsis:

- The Data Reference team is the central team which conducts Anti Money Laundering checks and supports the Due diligence requirements for the Group. The verification of Client / Customers is undertaken to mitigate the reputational risks/financial losses that might occur by conducting business with fraudulent clients.

- The team is responsible for verification of clients prior to placement by undertaking Know your Customer checks based on which a client is approved. Post placement, the team validates the legal / active status of a client and validates the evidence documents provided by the various Business units for the new clients created on the various Willis systems and extends admin support for the various systems. Batch screening is also conducted once a placement is complete ensuring the Business unit is informed to freeze any dealing with the Sanctioned Clients.

KPI Management:

- Deliver/ Manage KPI's and metrics in line with the prescribed targets and provide updates on progress to leaders. Analyze performance, identify trends and make recommendations to improve team performance

- Meet with key stakeholders to discuss metric performance and issues

Capacity Management

- Regular capacity review (using FTE calculation) of the team, to ensure equal work distribution and tracking overtime. Manage resources efficiently through peaks and troughs in the business cycle. Develop resource plans and plans for contingencies

Data Management : 

- Data collation as required e.g. MI reviews/HR/IT

Manage Escalations : 

- Manage escalations on daily basis. Ensure agreed escalation procedures are adhered to by the team.

Operations Management/Operational Effectiveness:

- Drive OPEX principles. Facilitate best practice sharing

- Conduct huddles with the team

- Ensure visual display board is updated and in line with prescribed guidelines

- Proactively support key initiatives that have been delivered to implement change

People management/ development:

- Conduct staff meetings

- Set objectives for direct reports and conduct regular appraisals

- Communicate regularly with team members via 1-2-1 meetings and team meetings

- Manage and delegate work fairly and effectively within the team

- Mentoring, OJT, coaching for new/junior team mates

- Identify and develop leadership qualities in individuals and groom them for the next level

- Responsible for managing team engagement and retention

- Monthly nominations for SPOT award and R&R

- Tracking monthly progress of the new joiners along with mentors

- Recognize high performers and engage them with right opportunity

- Identify performance issues and work closely with HR to resolve (PIP, CAP)

- Conduct interviews for hiring and promotion of talent

- Manage annual leave requests

- Identifying development needs for both individuals and the team as a whole. Works with HR to optimize training and development opportunities

Qualifications - Any Graduate or Post Graduate

Skills:

- Transition experience

- Experience of managing a team of 15-20 in the prior role

- Good interpersonal skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skill

- Possesses a keen eye for details

- Passionate about quality

- Ability to work under pressure

- Strong team player

Knowledge:

- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft office is essential, particularly Word & Excel
