Job description: Head - Equity Research

The Director of Research role will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer to set direction, role, and activities to identify opportunities of WON's research and other product offerings that meet the investment needs of our customers.

The Director of Research will be responsible for planning, directing, and presenting analysis to demonstrate and enhance the value of our research ideas to existing and prospective customers. This role will also work closely with the US team.

This position will take an active role to lead a team of research analysts and set the tone for performance, leadership and employee growth. Administrative responsibilities of this position include conducting evaluation and performance reviews of the staff, helping to identify and plan for any need for training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage/delegate custom research requests and consultancy relationships that require specialized project management.

- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the research department, ensuring accuracy of their work.

- Managing and developing Analyst team.

- Provide clear and consistent communication of project initiatives.

- Serve as subject matter expert in assigned asset class

- Lead and execute research related projects

- Participate and contribute in client meeting and conference calls as needed.

- Engage with clients to identify the opportunities available through the strategic use of our data research.

- Set forth a unique team culture based on the values of the company, the client makes up and what you bring to the table.

Job Requirements Competencies :

- MBA and/or CFA professional designation.

- Must have 15 + years of experience on the buy-side or sell-side

- Manager experience overseeing a team of at least 10 analyst

- Strong research background across all disciplines: Fundamental, Technical and Quantitative

- Familiarity with the O- Neil method of investing (C-A-N-S-L-I-M) a plus

- Prior research experience with global equities (all capitalizations) a plus

- Research content must be marketable and actionable

- Comfortable with travel and public appearances promoting our thought leadership

- Strong leadership Skills

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Works well with all levels of personnel

- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective project management and processes.

- Must have experience preparing presentation quality documents and executive level summaries. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to work successfully across organizational lines and influence outcomes.

- Strong quantitative and analytical ability required

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills desired
