Business Analyst Description

We are seeking a well rounded Business Analyst who can perform key functions involved in supporting a digital product's lifecycle. The BA will work closely with our Program Manager and design and development team to complete feature requirements. The ideal candidate should excel in a less structured product development environment, be highly self-motivated, and be able to suggest both processes and product improvements.

Core Responsibilities

- Elicit, prioritize, and manage product requirements.

- Write appropriately-sized user stories that meet product requirements.

- Develop preliminary work estimates.

- Craft light wire frames incorporating existing application design and best practices established through reference applications.

- Establish interactions with subject matter experts and key stakeholders, to gather requirement details, to provide design direction transparency, and to enhance understanding of business objectives.

- Manage changing requirements and communicate impact to the project team.

- Set appropriate expectations and report on progress towards business objectives.

- Stay up to date with financial industry and technology trends.

Requirements

- 3-6 years experience working with cross-functional project teams as a Business Analyst

- Experience working with design, support, and development teams on customer-facing digital products

- Experience with Agile and Waterfall development approaches

- Experience writing SQL queries for data exploration and analysis

- Experience creating and evaluating data visualizations

- Experience working with offshore development teams

- Familiarity with equity stock markets, common investment styles, and market cycles is a plus.

- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software is a plus
