Job description

As a Hospital Consultant at Wiggles you will serve as the primary resource to the team in methodological thinking and veterinary healthcare policy areas.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Understanding of veterinary hospitals and health system operations

- Improve policy and expand knowledge of veterinary health care and service systems

- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

- Provide accounts receivable management, account payable management, surgery coding, compliance audits and training to various medical practices.

- Establish new medical centers like surgery centers and clinics and help these new businesses with accreditation, supply and equipment purchasing.

- Assure compliance on all veterinary medical grounds; and provide eligibility compliance information.

- Work with the marketing department on developing collateral material with appropriate legal compliance

- Demonstrate expertise and knowledge to develop hospital architecture, floor plan and facility

- Provide consultation to providers regarding Medicare, Medicaid and commercial reimbursement methodologies and billing to obtain maximum benefits.

- Identifies key healthcare industry issues and assists to develop practice response

- Actively works to expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and interaction with other stakeholders

- Aptitude to develop foundational training materials and statutory compliance policies for veterinary hospitals

- Support technical proposal writing

- Manage all clinical documentation in the hospital.

- Review concurrent medical record for compliance including completeness and accuracy for severity of illness (SOI) and quality

- Exhibit through knowledge on legal documentation, validation and compliance required by the local government bodies.

- Deal with shifts in health care practice, technology, and regulation

- Clearly articulates financial results of projects and advice on process measures

Key Requirements:

- Degree in Veterinary Science, Economics, Public Policy, Health Research Services or related field

- 5+ years post graduate experience in healthcare research and policy analysis

- Must have exceptional data analysis

- Must have problem solving skills

- Must have the ability to thrive in a dynamic yet focused environment

- Must have a passion to achieve results at fastest pace without errors

- People and Relationship building Skills including Networking Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant field

- MVSc/BVSc is an added advantage

- Experience managing mid-large scale projects working with Central or state veterinary health policy and programs is an added advantage.
