Job Designation : Associate Director, Curriculum The curriculum director will focus on nurturing a love for math in children and building a strong foundation of math understanding. You will be a critical part of the team developing the world's first global, comprehensive Pre K-12 Math online live learning curriculum. The role will be multi-faceted - drawing from diverse pedagogies, span lesson plan development, teaching and testing out lessons, to training teachers to implement the same on a large scale; and provide exposure to how to leverage technology and tools to amplify learning outcomes. It will provide you an opportunity to share your expertise at a global scale with thousands of children and hundreds of educators. Job Responsibilities : - Develop the Curriculum Vision and Course Plan to build deep math skills and a love of math among kids across different grades. - Design and test well structured, detailed lesson plans for each class. Each class should be a - Wow- experience for every student. - Clearly define Outcomes and Assessment methodologies for the class. - Train teachers to deliver exceptional learning. - Completely own the performance for the Curriculum. Ensure very High Net Promoter Score for the classes among Students and Parents as well as ensure Learning Outcomes defined are met/exceeded. - Identify areas for curricular or instructional change, working closely with the Teacher and Student Community - Benchmark and be on top of trends in education and technology. Constantly improve and enhance curriculum and lessons. - Work effectively with a team of curriculum experts and teachers on a mass global scale. The Ideal Candidate : - Passionate about making math learning fun. Driven by helping children learn. - At least 5 years experience developing math curriculum and/ or instruction design for K-12 in top schools or top education technology startups. Specialization eg in Early-stage learning, middle school, high school, etc is acceptable. Experience teaching in a top school is a plus. - Worked in a system that promotes inquiry-based learning eg IB. Should have an in-depth understanding of activity-based teaching-learning methods with a strong knowledge of pedagogies to teach 21st Century Skills. - Deep Knowledge of US Common Core math standards is a must. Experience in developing a curriculum for the US or for STEAM programs will be a plus. - Excellent academic background. Undergraduate/postgraduate specialization in math is a plus. - Extremely comfortable with technology. Knowledge of the latest apps, tools, platforms etc and experience using that in instruction design is a plus. Knowledge of coding is a plus. - Life long learner. Constantly curious. Never satisfied with the status quo. - Creative, innovative. Takes informed risks and constantly refines based on feedback. - A team player. Can communicate and collaborate effectively with others, and bucked things together - Aggressive: - Take no prisoners- approach.
