Western Union - Specialist - Business Development (3-7 yrs)
Responsibilities:
Deliver on the financial objectives: (80%)
- Transactions, Revenue & Location goals delivery for the region
- Effective utilization of budgets through calendar based festival activations in the region to improve run-rates & business indicators
- Strategic network expansion to cover white spots, improve customer service and protect/grow the business
- Proactively build intelligence on various competition and proactively and tactically respond with action to achieve business goals
- Drive the agent and agent teams to ensure WUMT remains core business and the agent team is fully energized and engaged
- Build and deliver visual excellence for identified network in the region
- Ensure improvement in high performance network (PGS) though impact points, schemes & promotions to retain top of mind at network level
- Ensure improvement in customer retention and new customer acquisition through effective programs, festival calendar execution and efficient promotions
- Support deliver of KYA project (RBI & Global) for the region
Deliver the India Post objectives: (20%)
- Create and maintain a robust engagement architecture at the Circle and state offices
- Map and manage stakeholder engagement - internal & external
- Pursue time bound processing of Western Union key objectives at India Post Circles
- Coordinate with the India team to resolve any bottlenecks support solutions at India Post state circles
- Oversee the budget marked to support India Post performance including operational benchmarks
- Ensure India Post deliverable is top of mind for the corporation
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of business to business solution sales and sales support experience with a proven track record essential
- Proven record in solution selling within the financial services marketplace and/or business-to-business segment; preferred banking industry
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to identify opportunities and control sales process to close a deal with a win/win outcome
- Ability to ask probing questions to understand needs of customer
- High degree of professionalism, with a confident, assertive style
- Strong desire to succeed and self-motivated / self-starting
- Strong leadership skills including the ability to lead by example
- Strong collaborative and team building skills
- Effective time management skills including the ability to direct others to a desired outcome
- Strong salesforce.com skills
- Solid computer skills with ability to use MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience in the banking industry - an asset
- Demonstrated negotiation capabilities, with an ability to build and maintain strategic working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal and formal presentation skills
- Superior customer service skills with a focus on building customer loyalty
- Knowledge of the international payments marketplace - an asset
