- As an Associate Manager, you will be responsible for implementation of a service delivery model supporting assigned platforms through a predefined framework. The broad range of responsibilities includes leading engineering QA and configuration teams, partnering with key stakeholders, both off-shore, and on-shore, and delivering on the service level agreements. This includes monitoring on-going risks and providing resolutions, driving process improvements, resource planning & optimization and performance management. The role requires leading, managing and growing the platform assigned to the role.

Key responsibilities :

- Be responsible for managing a team of QA engineers

- Deep understanding of automated test frameworks and suites to enable engineering team to run, and view results of automated functional and non-functional software tests

- Drive best practices throughout our software development process that will improve overall software quality

- Assist with triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues discovered

- Where necessary, develop and execute manual test cases to detect issues that cannot be detected through automated means

- Must be able to multi-task, handling numerous competing priorities.

- Work with business partners to understand their needs and proactively lead them to solutions.

- Provide solution implementation to team members for the system and integration testing, and user training.

- Align execution priorities - project delivery, employee goals, and establish service levels with business and functional owners to drive service quality through quality control

- Partner with all stakeholders as required to implement employer branding and talent attraction, performance management, employee development, employee engagement and retention programs

- Ensure the implementation of high-end, business-wide, critical strategy set by senior management

- Provide direct oversight of QA team, adhering to quality standards and SLAs, and escalating risks and issues to the Engineering Delivery Head

- Invest time on a daily basis on all projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technical challenges and make escalations as necessary

- Define and revise (if needed) metric/performance reporting under directions from Engineering Delivery Head to ensure viability of service levels

- Participate in capacity and program planning exercises

- Manage a team of 6-10 QA engineers

- Manage key third-party strategic partnerships across application teams and resolve issues as needed

- Maintain effective communication with clients, business, and partners as needed

What we require :

- B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is required.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on software test development experience, including both functional and non-functional test development

- Minimum of 3 years in a QA Lead role, preferably in an Engineering organization

- Experience in testing complex websites and mobile apps across multiple browsers, devices, form factors and responsive websites

- Knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches

- Strong desire for establishing and improving product quality

- Experience building or enhancing test automation frameworks

- Willingness to take challenges head-on, while being part of a team

- A deep understanding of software development in a team, and a track record of shipping software on time.

- Create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.

- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and orally is a key competency as is demonstrable skill as a self-starter

- Self-starter with ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage workload, and consistently deliver results.

- Strong Customer Centric mindset with an ability to outperform Service Level Agreements on Customer satisfaction and experience.

- Extensive experience in release management and agile methodologies preferred.
