We- re seeking an Senior Analyst, Payroll based in our Pune, India office. The Senior Analyst, Payroll role within the WU Global Payroll team is above all a team-oriented position. Expectations are to build relationships internally and externally, collaborating with cross-functional teams (vendor, benefits, human resource/knowledge center, accounting, employee and other key business partners). The successful individual will have a solid understanding of payroll related matters, including key compensation, benefit taxation and equity plans within the areas they oversee. A key responsibility is scheduling, preparation and management of internal payroll information to external providers in an accurate and timely manner. Exposure to working within a multinational environment and technical expertise with human capital management systems is a plus.

- Resolve complex questions and issues surfacing from interactions with key partners at an advanced level.

- Strong adherence to deadlines - ensuring accurate and timely pay Ensure accuracy of employee and/or employer contributions for statutory requirements (tax or benefits) for India payroll processing.

- Intermediate knowledge of processing payroll for expatriates, relocation, severance, equity and multifaceted payments Analyze, approve, audit HCM system (Workday) data Monitors vendor partners to ensure optimum service.

- Coordination of payments through banking software and/or contacts.

- Garnishment processing and payment Support leave documentation Training of employees and managers on self-service attributes of HCM system and payroll documents.

- Track, update and create process documentation materials as directed.

- Prepare monthly reports as required, respond to internal and external audit requests as directed by supervisor.

- Ensures sound payroll controls are maintained and followed in compliance with existing internal/external governance controls.

- Research current essential information for payroll compliance with taxation and regulations for India Basic knowledge of pensions, healthcare, life and noninsured benefit plans, i.e. cars, allowances, vouchers and how these concepts may intersect with processing payroll Coaching and training of payroll team in areas of advanced payroll concepts.

- May assist with special projects as requested, Work independently with minimal supervision

What you will need to succeed:

- Minimum Requirements: 6 or more years of direct payroll experience Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (may substitute with additional experience).

- Advance knowledge of payroll processing in India

- Intermediate knowledge and skills in Excel and Word Superior customer service skills Intermediate skills in audit Basic accounting knowledge.

- Must have the ability to explain complex issue to lay persons.

- Ability to multitask (manage and prioritize workloads) and work in a fast-paced environment

- Excellent time-management skills with ability to meet deadlines.
