About Wells Fargo (EGS) India Solutions - 

- We are hiring for a position in EGS Delivery in India. EGS stands for Wells Fargo's Enterprise Global Services. We are a critical component of the Wells Fargo strategy to leverage distinct advantages of a global environment. Legally, we are known as Wells Fargo (EGS) India Solutions . Currently we are 12000+ strong team members with 3 locations ( Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad) in India and 1 center in Manila.

- As a part of the Wells Fargo's Enterprise Information Technology @ Enterprise Global Services team, this is a mid-senior management position responsible for performing research, creating solutions compliant with the Enterprise Architecture . This role can be an individual contributorr or manages multiple architects (including system and application architects)

- The role also provides management direction to the other managers/stakeholders in context of technology architecture and works closely with senior management for development of business/technology/talent/operational strategies. Acts as an interface for Senior Architects, Managing System Architects, Senior Technology Managers and (or) Chief Technology Officers or CTO directs at EIT (Enterprise Information Technology) and (or) EIT @ EGS (Enterprise Global Services). This is a judgment heavy role"

- This role reports in to Head of Enterprise Architecture with a Matrix reporting in to Managing/Group/Systems Architect on the state side. This role can have a span of control between 1-5.

Required Educational Qualification: B.E, B.Tech

Total Work Experience: 12+ Years of experience, with over 6+ years of Architecture experience

Primary responsibilities:

- Is responsible for conducting complex technology and system assessments for component architecture & recommend exceptions as appropriate;

- Provides in-depth technical and systems consultation to internal clients and technical management to ensure alignment with the Enterprise Architecture

- Propose, review, approve and document architectural designs and direct implementation of the architecture for multiple applications; Ensure all non-functional requirements (such as high availability, code quality, sound monitoring, data encryption, data masking) are captured and met during implementation phase

- Communicate Enterprise & Line of Business architecture strategy and direction to technology managers and implementation teams

- Work with development teams during implementation to ensure architecture and guidelines are followed thoroughly and help resolve any issues that implementation teams may face

- Closely work with infrastructure teams - get involved in product and server provisioning, upgrades and migration

- Actively participate in technology mandate projects (as part of the MBOs and key strategies of the CIO/CTO of the Line of Business)

- Drive projects related to safety and soundness, simplification, secure coding, Cloud migration initiatives

- Engage with EIT CoE partners (QA, DBA, Cloud and Platform support within the Enterprise Technology Services)

Stakeholder Management

- Is responsible for developing, maintaining ongoing engagement with global LoB parntners and other stakeholders in EIT and EIT@ EGS teams (include but not limited to - Application Development, QA, DBA, Cloud and Architecture CoEs within the Enterprise Technology Services, App Support etc)

- Assist Sr Technology managers for planning, Consulting, negotiating and manage deliverables of the business & technology requirements, wherever needed

- Helps the Sr Technology Managers in identifying potential avenues for building and managing effective relationships with offshore vendors partners servicing the portfolio

- Interfaces with senior stakeholders regularly

- Identify potential opportunities to engage and improve

- Ensures that other managers in the work group follow all the above

- Promotes One EIT Culture and EIT @ EGS alignment within the Architects group

Strategic Management - 

- Actively engages & influence the strategic directions for the application and business architecture

- Conceptualize and execute a business case, gain sponsorship and stakeholder support, whereved needed

- Be a trusted strategic partner for global WBT teams and EGS stakeholders

- Works closely work with Technology Managers, CTOs or CTO directs and actively contribute to development and implementation of key technology strategies from EIT@ EGS perspective

- Actively participate in global leadership meetings, demonstrate executive presence, present & propose solutions proactively

- Drives strategic vision - quality dialogue with senior technology leadership and other stakeholders

- Plan and manage skill portfolio of staff in view of future needs especially on the Architecture side

- Facilitate the progression of ideas to business cases and projects in accordance with agreed priorities

- Undertake management of cross-departmental projects, collaborating with other groups to achieve WF and EGS wide objectives

Talent/ People Management

- Is responsible to manage and meet the short & long term talent needs for the group including flexible and full time resource base for provision of the delivery (i.e. works with senior management on the Talent Strategy for the aligned application portfolio and other application porfolios within the LOB)

- Is responsible for developing people and manage Talent effectively; identifies the potential future architects and works with the technology managers in defining and supporting the team member in the Individual Development Plan

- Is accountable for expectations setting (goal settings) for the team members in line with the larger LoB and EGS goals (functioanal - technical/domain and behavioral)

- Is responsible to mentor team members and provide avenues to meet the team members aspirations

- Works closely with the HR Partners on various talent items covering the entire talent landscape (include but not limited to the below):

- Provides recommendations in the context of Talent Issues (tactical and strategic) - Performance, Career, Talent Planning, Succession Planning etc

- Hiring the right talent to meet the business needs (work closely with the EGS Talent Acquisition Teams)

- Managing overall performance of the team members and ensure to build and sustain high performance work culture

- Accountable for the overall engagement of the work group and manage attrition"
