JOB SUMMARY :

The Sustainability Operations Manager role will primarily support implementation and managing environmental and social management system for Waycool, green warehousing & distribution projects, internal communication, and employee capability building. The role will report to the - Head Sustainability-, while working closely across internal functional teams.

The key tasks performed by the role will be :

- Implement requirements of Environment and Social Management System across Waycool operations in alignment with environmental and social laws, procedures, guidelines, and specifications (IFC Performance Standards, ISO 14001, SA 8000, and other relevant standards).

- Carry out environment and social due diligence/gap assessment study. Share feedback report to Operation Head/ESG Officer with projects and capex projections that will lead to improved Waycool E&S performance.

- Conduct E&S audits (primarily energy, water, waste and green building), identify opportunities and create roadmap for implementation.

- Develop green warehouse and distribution policy, framework, and SOP for existing and expansion projects. Support execution of initiatives across operations and value chain that meets green building requirements.

- Develop and implement SOP for tracking, measuring, and monitoring E&S KPIs of Waycool.

- Work along with ESG team members on environmental and social impact projects viz., green building requirements, value out of waste, reforestation, green transportation and distribution, livelihood for women, youth, and marginalized farmers etc.

- Conduct trainings/workshops via knowledge sharing tools, best practices to build internal team capability.

Functional Competencies :

- Knowledge of ESMS framework, IFC Performance Standards, ISO 14001, SA 8000

- BEE certified energy manager / ISO 50001 Energy Management System

- Green Building Certification

- Prior knowledge of conducting environment and social audits

- Open to travel to Waycool operations
