Warehouse Operations Leader - 3PL Industry

Position Purpose: Head of Warehousing works to improve an organization's internal operations which help to give superior customer service and experience to their customers.

- Operations function also work towards managing cost and service very tightly.

Role of Head of warehouse operations at SCS would be to plan, develop and execute all aspects of warehousing and transport operations - dry chain and also other external 3PL customers.

- This role would involve managing owned warehouses as well as outsourced warehouses efficiently, managing transportation, ensuring on time billing to customers as per agreed commercial, working on initiatives towards IT Solutions to improve service levels, managing all the operational manpower and developing a strong operations team to handle business growth. Head of Operation would also work very closely with other functions such as finance, business development, IT etc.

Key Responsibilities /Tasks):

- Manage the day to day warehouse operations in terms of ensuring the service levels agreed with the customers

- Managing all the operations team including on roll as well as off roll staff

- Ensuring service levels and other performance parameters.

- On-time customer billing.

- Managing operations cost as per budgets.

- Developing and hiring of the required operations team.

Skills & Qualifications: Operations excellence, planning, understanding of transportation business operations, leadership & people management. Qualification - MBA in Operations Management would be preferred.

Experience : Minimum 8 - 12 years of experience ideally in a 3 PL organization focused on 3PL warehousing
