Role Context:

The Director, Impact Measurement will be responsible for monitoring and evaluations of all WF programs globally and will drive results monitoring and capturing impact data internally as well as manage externally run evaluations of the program. He/she will capture customer feedback and drive learnings into each of the programs to improve our offerings.

Responsibilities:

Building upon and establishing framework and principles for Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation for Wadhwani Foundation and executing this effectively to inform management and drive programs. This includes:

- Theory of Change (TOC) for various initiatives & their programs

- Logic Model (Logframe) for various initiatives & their programs

- Documenting the specific Program Strategy and Outcome/Impact measurement approach for each initiative

- Creating and enhancing templates and tools for data collection and monitoring and collecting/validating data at regular intervals for the same. Integrating the same into the process and product offerings within the foundation initiatives globally

- Validate data and intervention effectiveness through site visits and interviews with the Beneficiaries/ Stakeholders

- Conduct Baseline and Benchmarking studies and surveys in-house or through external consultants. These include Net Promoter Score (NPS) surveys as well as Impact Measurement surveys

- Create an Annual Impact Study at the end of the year - to document the results, efficiency and effectiveness of our interventions and learnings from them to improve our outcomes

- Drive initiatives in monitoring data collection, analysis and documentation of results

- Review and Collate quarterly results for various initiatives to report to management in the Quarterly Performance Dashboard

- Helping initiatives and WF management learn from results and make suggestions to improve effectivity

- Engaging external consultants to do independent studies to evaluate impact

- Other strategic and operational activities related to Monitoring and Evaluation

Education: Minimum Bachelor-level degree in relevant field including economics, monitoring evaluation, social work and/or Science/Commerce stream.

Experience: 15+ years or more of practical experience as in MLE and program functions. Experience in MIS for collection of data is needed. Should have held leadership positions in evaluating program performance and evaluating interventions/initiatives with on-the ground field experience in Monitoring/Evaluation. Some experience in MIS or IT as well as NGO/Foundation or MLE Consultant would be important.

Competencies-Skills (Required): These skills could include:

- A robust and diverse set of research skills, including qualitative (interviews, focus groups, and observation) quantitative (descriptive and inferential statistics), action research and participatory methods

- Strong analytical skills, with expert knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets.

- Experience working on multi-site projects and the M&E of multi-country initiatives;

- Experience doing ongoing, mid-term and/or end-term monitoring and evaluation of Programs for own initiatives or as independent evaluator for large programs

- Understanding all MLE concepts like Logic Model/ Logical Framework, Theory of Change, Monitoring cycles, baselining, end-lining, benchmarking, etc.

- Experience in the Education/Skilling / Livelihood initiatives as well as startup and/or small business entrepreneurship initiatives - e.g. incubation, acceleration, consulting.

- Quality Assurance Processes and Measurement Roles in private/public organizations

- Excellent writing skills and the ability to document clearly and succinctly for internal and external audiences;

- Public speaking and presentation skills.

- IT Skills - Very strong with Excel and other similar database systems. Familiarity and experience with real-time management information systems and knowledge management platforms; Information Systems, data management, or IT background is helpful.

KRAs/ KPIs:

- Effective monitoring evaluation of Wadhwani Foundation programs to measure and improve Program Outcomes (against targets) and customer feedback

- Capturing learning into offerings to make sure programs improve and meet outcome goals better

- Create and publish regular impact dashboards/reports for internal and external Stakeholders
