Role Context: - The Wadhwani Institute for Technology and Policy (WITP) is a new institution established in India to leverage emerging technologies in ways that improve public service delivery and decision-making. Funded by the Wadhwani Foundation, the philanthropic body established in 2000 by Dr. Romesh Wadhwani, WITP is envisioned to be a globally unique institution with a dual mission, working both, as a think tank and a training academy. WITP is seeking a Solution Architect to work in our Delhi office on Client- projects. - The Data Analyst's role is to scrutinize/interpret data using data analysis/statistical tools to turn it into information (facts and trends), which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions. Once data has been gathered and interpreted, the Data Analyst is required to report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the wider business/relevant colleagues. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. - The candidate needs a very fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases. Candidates having experience in the field of Business Intelligence will be preferred. Role &amp; Responsibilities: - Develops and manages information to support client decision-making. - Develops records management processes and policies - Manages and improves existing reporting systems. - Mines and analyses large and complex datasets draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool in the form of dashboards, graphs, visualization, etc. - Conducts and facilitates (and educates and trains on) analyses, issues identification, organizational risk assessment, and decision-making processes. - Analyzes problems and determines root causes. - Defines client data assets (data models), spark, spark SQL, and hive SQL jobs to populate data models - Monitors and audits data quality - Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools Requirements : Skills, Experience &amp; Qualification : Qualification : - Degree in Engineering/Statistics/Mathematics. A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering will be preferred. - Additional qualification in data analytics will be preferred Experience : - 8-10 years of experience - Developing data models and business process modeling - enterprise to department level - Business analysis - Conducting big data analysis - Advanced analytical knowledge of data - Work experience in Government Sector will be preferred Skills : - Process-oriented with great documentation skills - Knowledge of database languages such as SQL, R, or Python; and data visualization software such a Tableau or Qlik or MS-Bi will be preferred. - Mathematical and statistical skills to gather, measure, organize and analyze data. - Leadership skills to think strategically about the information that will help stakeholders make data-driven business decisions and to communicate the value of this information effectively. KRAs/ KPIs : - Identifying and building Reports for Sr Management for better insight. - Identifying reporting frameworks and building Data sets for higher visibility in business. - Conducting POC on reporting frameworks.
