Position:- VP Strategy and Operations, Family Office
Location:- Gurgaon
Organization: a VC firm in Internet domain
The position is responsible for overseeing the investments, and investment managers of the Family Office including those in domestic and global markets specifically in public market securities, unlisted equities, secondary markets and real estate. The position will also oversee the day to day operations of the office including interactions with stakeholders and service providers, Marketing, HR and people and overall structuring of the group.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management and routinely operations of the Family Office
- Takes leadership in decision making on investments in fixed income and equity in domestic as well as offshore markets
- Identifies and maintains sources of new fund relationships with new and existing wealth managers
- Leads underwriting and due diligence activities for secondary market deals and Fund of Funds
- Expertise in complex structural issues and in implementing portfolio risk-reward optimization
- Works closely with professionals and offshore administrators to structure and negotiate transactions
- Oversees detailed KYC and closing of transactions
- Ensures and manages compliance with local and global regulations
- Frequent travel to our offshore offices to visit local investment/wealth managers
Position Requirements
- The successful candidate will be a seasoned, experienced investment executive with a minimum of 12-15 years related experience typically gained with a Family Office (preferred), private investor, opportunity fund or an investment bank
- The candidate will have deep exposure to different asset classes and markets (domestic and global)
- Should have proven experience in managing people, programs, and processes
- A successful track record of locating, structuring, financing, managing and execution of investment deals
- A very strong proficiency in fixed income and equity investments
- Deep understanding of local and foreign regulations specifically those covered under FEMA
Educational Requirements/ Skills, Abilities and Personality Traits
- MBA in Finance/CA/CFA from an accredited institution
- Strong work ethic; high degree of honesty and integrity
- Demonstrated ability to effectively delegate and to manage
- Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Phenomenal communication skills, and ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
- Strong organizations and planning skills
- Ability to own tasks, and work with little guidance
