VP/Senior VP - Engineering - Internet

An opportunity to lead the engineering organization of one of India's leading website and get to work amongst the sharpest of minds in the Indian Internet fraternity. The role is a highly challenging one, expecting you to work with constant agility with various teams and deliver the best products in the space.

You would be part of a highly dynamic product development organization possessing entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Contribute as part of the management team to determine strategic directions

2. Craft and execute strategic plans for co-driving product development

3. Forge and instill goals and standards for engineering performance

4. Measure and ensure engineering, product delivery goals are met with, at an acceptable velocity and without trading off quality and performance

5. Constantly motivate, mentor and guide the engineering team members

6. Harness the capabilities of individuals and teams to ensure appropriate opportunities and growth for them

7. Work closely and coherently with the product development team to ensure alignment and achievement of product and engineering goals

8. Devise processes and mechanisms to ensure expected uptime of production applications

9. Augment skills and capability of the engineering team by recruiting and training the members

10. Ensure smooth communication channels within the team and with all stakeholders involved in the product development and delivery process

Requirements :-

- Engineering graduate from a premier engineering institute with Minimum 7+ Years of relevant experience.

- At least 4+ Year of experience in working with consumer Internet company in which s/he should have proven skills in leading an engineering team which interfaces with either different external clients / internal stakeholders.

- Having grown from hands-on expertise with the ability to dive in.

- Experienced in successful implementation / adoption of agile and extreme programming methodologies.

- Brilliant at communication, estimation and delivery, change management, and leadership capabilities
