VP - Operations/Delivery - Contracts & Litigation Practice - LPO (15-20 yrs)

Position Details

The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of services across the Contracts Management and Litigations and Investigations Practice Areas.

Client Management

- Lead the execution of all client deliverables across multiple centers ensuring consistent, high-quality results

- Manage client expectations in line with agreed statements of work and service levels

- Build client relationships as the key Delivery point of contact, leverage these relationships to expand the revenue footprint with existing clients

Delivery Operations & Business Management

- Develop an annual operating and talent capability plan that supports the short and long-term strategy of the business and assigned practice areas

- Ensure that day-to-day delivery operations of the organization are appropriately managed by developing and implementing processes that will ensure the achievement of the laid down financial and operating goals and service level agreements (SLAs)

- Ensure that quality parameters are adhered and reporting to clients and executive team is effective and timely

- Is responsible for the physical assets of the centers and its ability to support business with minimal disruption

Strategic Leadership

- Participate in the long-term growth strategy building initiatives for the organization that leads to the creation of stakeholder value

- Partner with Practice Leads to build industry expertise and develop client solutions in the areas of Contracts, Litigation and Investigations and legal research for all Mindcrest clients.

- Define and review rolling business plans to ensure plans are integrated and meet company objectives

- Ensure information flow to the organization and the executive team is transparent and timely

Team Management

- Develop, mentor and manage a team of high-performing professionals providing inputs as well as being hands-on when needed

- Manage the performance planning lifecycle for direct reports, including goal setting, ongoing monitoring, regular feedback, and performance reviews and developmental feedback

- Coach and train legal services managers to develop and improve operational capabilities

Project Management

- Perform detailed scoping of all work and Project Delivery schedules, resource requirements, IT and Facilities support, Quality control metrics and methodology into a Project Plan

- Interface and influence delivery managers, Quality, Finance, Office of Controls, Technology to revise existing business processes in order to improve operational excellence, process improvement and profitability

- Leads project management teams to build standard measurable metrics into plans, monitors progress and audits project controls on a dynamic real-time basis to take any changes into account

- Manage project managers to prepare and deliver regular reports, detailed analysis of variances with planned expectations, seek opportunities to improve metrics and timely validation of the data

- Partners across the organization to maintain project management policies, processes and procedures and data storage management. Responsible for making suitable modifications as warranted ensuring that the implementation of all relevant procedural requirements is fulfilled and auditable.

People Management

- Develop subject matter expertise and an effective management team, hire for key positions to ensure that the organization is adequately staffed to deliver its goals

- Set Provide clear direction to team, define role clarity and performance expectations in accordance with business objectives

- Develop, mentor and manage a team of professionals providing inputs as well as being hands-on when needed

- Manages the effective achievement of objectives by setting individual targets; develops, engages and motivates staff, providing regular feedback in order to maximize individual and team performance

- Recommends necessary resource mobilization wherever required, suggests proactive measures to manage attrition

Candidate Details

- 10+ years of relevant experience in leading SLA-driven, global delivery operations for a professional services organization with complex subject matter and high levels of client engagement

- Experience of managing large, globally dispersed teams of professionals, should have witnessed the entire project lifecycle from initiation to steady-state

- Adept at managing teams engaged in knowledge-driven work for large global clients, preferably in financial services and life sciences industries

- Must have been in a senior operations leadership role for at least four years where s/he would have managed global clients

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong learning orientation

- Should have worked closely with other support functions such as Finance, HR, Quality, Admin, to ensure people hiring, cost control and other reporting parameters are in place

- Ability to lead a cross functional team and establish close working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

- Bachelor's degree in Law and MBA from a reputed university.
