Job Description - A great opportunity to work in a middle management role in a global financial services firm. As a VP in Investment Operations, you will be looking areas like collateral management, settlements and corporate actions processing.
Client Details
The client is an asset management firm, offering a diverse range of products including securities investment management, infrastructure and real estate asset management, and fund and equity-based structured products. The Gurgaon Operations team provides support to the Investment Management and Investment Solutions Divisions. The team is functionally aligned to provide global support to the various businesses. The firm wants to develop expertise in the Gurugram office across the fund administration, portfolio administration and investment middle office global function.
Description
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing the team including goal setting and monitoring
- Collaborating with regional teams to ensure optimum delivery of global business service model
- Managing the daily operations of the team ensuring all deliverables are met relating to timeliness and accuracy
- Performing end of day checks to ensure that all deliverables have been reviewed and updated by the team
- Timely escalation of issues and follow-ups with relevant teams if necessary on unresolved issues
- Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and drive optimisation
- Workforce planning, budgeting and resourcing to meet business requirements
- Ensuring appropriate controls are in place to prevent risk, ensuring adherence to internal and external audit requirements
- Developing and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships including asset managers and custodians
Profile
This role will ideally see you come as an existing VP from a funds management or custodian background with experience in a similar Investment Operations role in a global financial services firm. You possess experience with one or all trade support, collateral, corporate actions or valuations teams. You will have strong knowledge of the front to back trade flows and transaction processing across various asset classes, good knowledge of settlement of equity, bonds and derivative asset class and corporate action events and processing. You will also have a proven track record of delivering change, providing strategic direction, people engagement and leadership.
